I am so sorry for the passing of your darling little furbaby. They share such special things with us during our times together. I know that mind share many secrets and has helped to ease many tears.....both happy ones and sad ones. I send with this message much love and many big gentle hugs for you and know that the sad times will turn to happy ones when you remember the happy times during the past 16 years.

Congrats on the 50# Vera, that is wonderful.
Well, I am Happy to report that the scale is moving down...faster than I thought too! All I have done is to plan my snacks, only pack and eat the portion of my meals that I plan, and stop when I am full...geeze! I have had some moments of being hungry but HELLO, one is suppose to be hungry a bit before it's time to eat, right? I think that is a signal that in the past I drowned out by eating all the time and never giving it a chance to work...So...I am pleased. Down 4 1/2lbs since I have been using this tool properly...I have to tell you the biggest pleasure and happiness I am feeling right now is the thought that "this really does work, I really can control this, I don't have to keep going up and up like usual" I can't explain how excited I am about this discovery. I have never EVER been able to reverse my weight gain. OK, I know its still early, but even so, I have NEVER lost weight, gained a few, and then got those few back off!!! It is a miracle!!!!
OK, new topic...did I tell you all that I whacked off my hair the other morning before work? Well, I did. My sweet husband who never tells me anything negative about how my hair looks, or my clothes look, but always says "you are beautiful" even when I really am not, even said, when pressed, "ummmm, yeah, it does look funny." He was speaking about the mullet look I had created. What was I thinking?!!! Anyway, that is my news...I have a real mullet and it does look "funny." Beth came home for the weekend and I gave her something to giggle and really tease me about. She couldn't believe I cut my hair myself. I will go get it "fixed" when I can. For now, I will just live with it.

Congrats on getting back on track Cheryl! I am working on this too. Today I will pre-plan my meals and snacks, I haven't been pre-planning the snacks and found I'm getting 3 a day now where I used to only have one. Seems like head hunger is challenging me again.

Good Morning Vera and my dear OFF friends,
Congrats on the 50# loss Vera!
I'm trying to get my butt going this am. I've been up since 6 and have only managed to make coffee and get our meds together. DH's doc appt is at 10:45 to get his stitches out. Getting him all cleaned up takes quite a bit of time. Thanks goodness his bathroom is mostly handicap access. that helps alot. The only thing we are now thinking about changing in there is having the tub replaced to a walk in shower. He has a hard time raising his legs to get over the tub edge. And with only being able to use 1 hand/arm now, I am so afraid he is going to fall. Just have to take it slow and be extra careful. He has a shower chair and grab bars in there but the seems to be too far in for him to reach now. Always something.
I finished knitting a scarf for my niece last night, it matches the hat I made her at Christmas, so have to get that sent out today. She is in northern Wisconsin away at college. They have had really bitter cold and wind there.
I guess my granddaughters are sick again, same thing as me. Their dad kept them out of school yesterday and today. He is supposed to drop them of here this afternoon. I haven't seen them since Friday so I miss them. They called yesterday and wanted me to come get them,
" cause Nana makes them feel better!" But can't take them to DH's appt so I told them they had to wait till today, broke my heart to not be able to get them,

My Christmas Party for my job is this Saturday night. It is dinner at a mystery cafe. A "who dun it" kind of event. It should be a lot of fun!
My children and grands will be in town on Saturday. I will be at my party so I won't see them until Sunday. I can't wait to feel the love!!!!
