Duodenal Switch recovery info

Has anyone here over 60 years has the DS?
Open or lap?
How did you do?
Time off work?

I didn't have a DS, but I know that the DS board is very active and I'm sure they'll have lots of great advice for you.

I had a VSG, the stomach part of the DS.  I recovered with no complications and no issues and lost all my weight in a little over a year. 

The DS is a powerful and wonderful surgery, and my on-line friends who had it have lost all their weight and have been very happy.  I wish you the best with your surgery!
