Margo,

What a rough way to spend your birthday. Thrones are nice, but not the kind you are on. I take that back; I've visited enough outhouses that I DO appreciate flush toilets and heat! Hope you feel better soon.

I spent the night at our friend's house with Maggie and Nikita their 70 lb chocolate lab that we're taking care of til tomorrow.

Some good news from here. Baby Clara got to come home last night and Hannah's visit to the doctor was good. Doctor says tho she is still coughing that he doesn't hear any "crackles" in her lungs. They think now that Clara indeed has had the virus RSV. . . which is a new one to me but evidently very hard on little ones. So the hospital was definitely where she needed to be. Erin and Josh will continue lung treatments at home for a few days and using the "electronic nose snarfer" thingy to clean her out so that her oxygen level is better. The wonders of modern science. Erin says this thing really works. Sounds like snot's coming up from her ankles! I know TMI! Sorry.

So I'll probably head to Chelan tomorrow with my friend and to Spokane on Saturday for "Annie." Cheryl, what's the forcast up there for Saturday? It's cold here, but no new snow and roads are clear. We plan to come home Saturday after the matinee performance, but have a place to stay if we need to. I told my friend, Helen, "Let's remember this next time we get bored and get online in Chelan before anyone gets up. NO tickets to anywhere in the winter!"

I'm going to make some hot tea with honey and lemon. Got to make sure I'm good and healthy before next Wednesday when we head over to take care of the babies for two nights.

Hey, it's almost February! In this neck of the woods it means spring is just around the corner. We often get some really nice days in mid February. Take care everyone. Carla, if you're reading any of this you're in my thoughts. Sending healing vibes your way.

Karen, glad to hear Clara is better (I haven't been around much and honestly didn't know until just now that she was sick.).  The baby son of one of our docs had RSV last year and it was rough on the little guy.

Poor Margo - feel better soon.

The insulation is completed, Abigail is back to being a black kitty, and the man is here installing a new front door. Of all days to have a door removed ... it is brr cold. He is doing all the detail work before removing the old one and hanging the new door.

A funny chuckle with the two men yesterday. One said that his father was trying to convince his sister to have a type of surgery for losing weight. He asked the other guy if he had ever heard of it before, then asked me if I knew about the surgery.

Yeah, I know about it alright. what a giggle.

Stay safe, stay warm.

I'm in Columbus Ohio and the freezing rain kept me awake allllll night and now we are having beautiful quarter-sized heavy snow (3-6"s probable) ... just so the power doesn't go out!!!  It is pretty!

I finally hit 149 pounds!  YAY!  My size 10 jeans are getting loose on me.    I am in shock that I may end up wearing size 8 jeans soon?    I haven't been a size 8 since I was 8 years old!      This WLS sure changes your life!

          I'M AT GOAL!

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

Happy birthday Margo ... sorry you feel like crap ... no birthday cake today, I'm sure. Maybe some tea. Peppermint tea usually helps me when my tummy is bothering me.

We are having a sunny day but cold (15 degrees) ... warmer than yesterday at this time. I don't have PT today but want to go out and get my tax software so I can do my taxes. I have everything I need but have to look for my home taxable values somewhere in my pile of stuff. I know I have it. I never throw anything out. I need to get this money back because I got another threatening letter from the condo association demanding their back fees ... geez, I told them I'd pay them when I got my tax refund, what do they want? So I called them yesterday and talked to the woman there and said I'm filing right away and I usually get the money in 10 days, and she'd get the vast amount of it in a cashier's check. If I don't have it right away, I'll call her back and tell her I'm still waiting for it. I can only give her what I have when I have it!

My cable is acting up today. I was watching something on the DVR when it suddenly froze. So I unplugged it, plugged it back in and then I couldn't change channels. Called Comcast, they tried to get it to work, nothing worked, so now I have someone coming out on Friday ... first available time. Great ... if I can't get it working, then I get to sit in the bedroom and watch TV. I know it's better than nothing, but it's a pain to watch a 12-inch screen (well, the living room is 20-inch and stereo) and I have to sit on the bed, which is OK, but a little hard on the knees for too long. Anyway, the customer service rep said she'd try to search for an earlier time.

Last night, I watched "Lonesome Dove" on DVD ... bought it last year and haven'****ched it until last night. I watched three episodes before I went to bed, so I have the final one tonight. I had forgotten how great that was ... there's one scene where McCrae and Call are in a salon in San Antonio and the bartender is being slow and obnoxious toward them, and McCrae (Robert Duvall) gets cranky and pulls down his face on the bar and then shows him their photo when they were younger and says, "Back then, they wanted to make us senators." It's a great scene. And Tommy Lee Jones going nuts when Newt (Ricky Schroeder) is getting harassed by this soldier's scout ... and McCrae tells Newt Call is his father. There's just so many great moments in that miniseries. Part 4 tonight!

Talked to Carla this morning and she sounds pretty rough. She's in the hospital, her blood pressure is low and her potassium is low ... they gave her potassium by IV, which I know hurts like hell. She's dehydrated, so she's getting IV fluids. We didn't talk for long because she's low on cell minutes.

Well, I should get dressed and get out of here and get my software.  I need to get my taxes done so I can get my money back.

Have a good day. Drive safely if you're in the bad weather zone, or stay home if you can.

Hi Margo and OFFr's,

I can totally say I know how you're feeling as I was laid low with the same intestinal type illness yesterday and today, while better, is still finding me making many trips to the "can". . .  however, yesterday I was pretty much between the bed and the bathroom, so today is an improvement.  Too bad you are feeling ill on your birthday, but hopefully you'll feel better in a hurry.  Just be sure to get those fluids in, could only handle decaf tea, myself, and some chicken broth, but you don't want to get dehyrdrated.

Tomorrow I have to at work at 7 a.m., so that means I have to get up at 3:30 in order to catch a 5:15 train that will get me to work on time, ugh. . .  so I'm safe and sound in my house and that's where I'll be staying recovering from what's left of this stomach bug.  The weather here has been snow, freezing rain and I think it's now turned to regular rain, but the temps will drop again so who knows what is to come, we still got another month, plus of winter possibilities, but Baseball season and spring are right around the corner.

Well, I'm going back to lying down, take care and prayers and positive thoughts to all.

Laureen

I talked with Kay ( my step mom who lives 15 minutes from Margo) last evening as she was driving home from work and she said it was just starting to come down hard. I Told her how you were hoping for a pajama day today and she loved the decription. Sounds like you are getting one if you like it or not, hmmm think you caught what Michael had? Take care of yourself darlin.
The directors office is right across from mine and it has been dark all morning, she always E-mails us if she isn't going to be in, hope everything is ok. It was 3 degrees asI came to work but they say is is going to start warming up and we may see 50 degrees by Sunday. Hard to believe it is still January, this winter has just dragged along. I suppose it is because we have been holding our breath making sure our baby Hunter got born safely. I can hardly believe he will be in our arms with in the next 14 days. Liz was laid off from her job abut 5 months ago, and being in a high risk pregnancy it is impossible to find another job. God id good..at her shower of all places she was offered the perfect job for her. A friend who she has worked with before is begging her to come work with her in an office. She would be like a gal Friday and she could take the baby to work with her!! I would take the baby a couple days a week ( who wants to have their kid with them ALL the time??) She is going to go out there tomorrow to check it out.  I hope this is "the" job for her. The big boss owns a slew of hotels in the state. I told her maybe if a cleaning lady or something doesnt show on a weekend Icould earn a little under the table money too. My insurance went up $70 a month, and I have topay more for meds. I just have to find a way to make some money. I had better get n gear and get my work done. Blessings and STAY WARM
