TGIF George and Everyone,

Celebrated hubby's 79th birthday yesterday.  Pretty good since he's been as sick as he's been recently.  He was well enough to go out to an early dinner - before the crowds and their germs showed up!  The usual practice is a big dinner out with family but we had decided that wasn't a good idea for him since he can tire very quickly.  He enjoyed the outing and so did I.  It's nice to see him feeling better.

Still crocheting my fingers to the bone.  I have two new babies coming this spring so working on baby things is very uplifting to me.

That's about all I have to share.  Hugs and warm thoughts to those in need.  Hello to all the newbies joining us.  It's very nice to "meet" new people!

We got back from a wonderful cruise last night.  Trying to wash clothes today and get unpacked.  I hope to rest a bit this weekend and go to church Sunday.   It will be back to work on Monday, so I have to get everything together this weekend.  Have a great weekend!!!

Oh we did have a blast!!!!   We had a few undiscovered pole dancers in our group, there was a possible man overboard the third morning at 2:00 a.m. that woke us all up as they were announcing that we would be turning to go back toward Mexico. There were so many stories about that and I honestly do not know what the truth behind that was...I just know the captain woke us up with the report.  The man was found...some said in another room, some said he was playing a prank and one report said they actually found him in the water.

There were some great shows, as always and of course, going ashore was expensive cause I like to get lots of souvniers.   It was just a great time and so much fun.  The best part was spending time with all of those from the boards who go with us and getting to know each other.

Thank you!!  We went to Progresso and Cozumel, Mexico.  The Bama Board and whomever else wants to go, goes every year around this time.  We always have such a great time.

Well we are home from Orlando. Had a super trip. Our daughter really planned and organized a fun filled, busy experience and we had fun and now great memories. The air travel was very good, flew Jet Blue. Sara had us signed up for the Disney Magical Express and it took care of our bags, transportation, and our check out and check in to the airport. Great way to go. I had a hard time keeping up with them all and took it easy one day. John and I enjoyed being with the Gkids and loved watching their excitment. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, a truly great place for families, very kid friendly. We also had one of the meal plans and that worked out so well. Because John is totally VA disabled he got a 5 day park hopper ticket for FREE and we all got discounts as well. Saved us over $500. Sara sure researched things so wonderfully.
It is cold here and we had lots of snow on Wednesday. Glad that we flew out late Tuesday back to Boston and had a clean, dry ride home. Kids did not have school on Wednesday due to storm so we all vegged out and relaxed. The Gkids are going away for the weekend so it will be quiet here. No plans for the Super Bowl, jus****ching it on TV.
I have evened out at 150 lbs and feel good at this weight. At 137 I was too thin and drawn. Funny to find that some shorts which were falling off me, fit fine now. Back to long johns and multi-layers of clothes and socks.  John is very stiff and he had thrown his back out 3 days before we left for vacation, but it is healing. Oh this cold really hurts his arthritis.
Diablo stayed with friends and he is not snubbing us for going away. They have 2 dogs and he did so well. However he is scratching himself crazy. This started before our trip, I guess the dry house is the cause so he will get a pampering bath today. Oh he will NOT love that.
I am so proud of myself and not drinking. I congraduate myself each day. I see the nurse and foot doctor on Tuesday and have fasting labs scheduled.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi George and my OFF family:

It's still snowing here and the temp is 19 ... wind chill is 4. Brrrr. Garbage day today and the trucks have been through already. I need to get in the shower soon so I can dry off and warm up before I go to PT. Really don't feel like going out in the snow and cold again. I had hoped the snow was going to be over today (weather guys said it would ... again, they're wrong) so I could get into Grand Rapids and pick up that work letter ... well, maybe Monday.

After PT, I have to get home and wait for the cable guy to come and fix my DVR. Guess I'll probably lose everything I have recorded. I had a lot of movies on it I wanted to watch. I would love to switch to AT&T U-verse but they want a credit card from me to sign up, even though I've been an AT&T customer for nearly 10 years. And because I'm in bankruptcy, I can't have a credit card (and really, I don't want one). So I guess I'll stick with Comcast and their crappy service. No other choice ... can't go with the satellite folks (DirecTv, etc.) because they do a credit check also, and that means I won't get approved because of the bankruptcy. Comcast doesn't care because I was a customer before that.

No big plans for the weekend. I'm almost done undecorating, so I guess I'll finish that and get my living room back to normal. I miss all the lights. It looks dull. Then it's Super Bowl on Sunday ... no big party to go to, just some healthy munchies and maybe pizza at home for me. I love watching the game ... I'm rooting for the Cardinals because they're the underdog and they used to be the Chicago Cardinals, my dad's team.

And then I go back to work on Monday ... don't know if I'm really ready to sit at a desk for 7 1/2 hours, but I'm sure bored enough to go back to work, that's for sure.

Well, have a good day. Stay warm. For those who aren't feeling well, hope you feel better.

Judy, try not eating anything solid for a couple days. Try protein drinks and soups if it hurts to chew. I had a root canal, and for the first few days, all I had were soups, puddings and jello. It takes a while for the tooth to heal.

Good morning dear friends,

Have a few minutes before getting on the fast track...LOL!  M-W-F are such busy days for us, go, go ,go both girls have school so that makes for 6 trips back and forth from school. Cheyanne has a field trip today to Disney On Ice so she was super hyper this am.  Sami is disappointed that she couldn't go, but we reminded her that she got to go on  field trips her sister couldn't go on, so that seemed to settle her down.  We stopped at Kmart on the way home from school to pick up some vitamins etc and tax software so I can get that done this weekend.  Sunday we are going to a Super Bowl Party at daughter #2's house, should be about 30 people so it should be fun.

Got off to a good start food wise this am.  Had a protein shake in the car on the way to Jen's & school.  Trying to get the s/f stuff and carbs back under control. And up the protein and water.

I spoke to Carla a few minutes ago, they had trouble with her blood pressure again last night. So they upped her Synthroid to 150mg and started another IV. She said they told he she wouldn't be going home today and not  until the can get her bp regulated.

Have a great day. Hugs, Paulette
