HAPPY G-HOGS DAY! WHAT"S NEW MONDAY??
Morning all....
Ground hogs Day....well, it means six more weeks of winter here if he can even get out of his hole with all the snow still on the ground....come on Spring.
Feel better today, Brenda....hope it's not the crud that's going around.
Congrats on that grandbaby, Jean.....waiting to hear all about him and the birth.
Book Club went fine and found out I am hostess for next time and I didn't have a book selected. Anyone have any suggestions for something light and amusing
maybe??? We have been reading pretty heavy stuff and need a change of pace.
Tonite is support group and I am hoping for a really good turnout....we will be discussing food issues.
Only got to watch last 10 minutes of the Super Bowl but go**** must have been the most exciting of the whole game.....thought briefly Cardinals were going to pull it out, but no such luck.
Work this morning, taking three huge bags of shredded paper to the co-op, and get ready for tonite.
That's my agenda for today .....oh yeah, gotta ride the
bike for 35 minutes somewhere in there.

Like we were talking with some friends, that groundhog is going to see his shadow. They pull him out when it is still kind of dark and all the cameras around. But I never remember how much longer we have whether he sees his shadow or not, I never keep track. thanks to those that posted to me on my root canal...still hurts but being on drugs sure does make it tolerable now.
watched superbowl last night wow what a game!!! congrats to the steelers!!!!! comercials were good too!!! loved the clydesdales best....didn't have 3-d glasses to see the 3-d ones...oh well.
had the weekend off and spent most of it in bed or on the couch with this dam tooth hurting. yippeee did go out to get groceries and thats about it. still need to pay the cellphone bill. working today 1-9. hope i can make it all day and into the night. i did miss a couple days and hope i get my sick days on check or we will be sunk for sure!!
not much else happening here so will go lay down again for awhile til time to get ready for work. hope you all have a great day and know i DO think about each and everyone of you!!!

Hi Jean and my OFF family:
It's just before 9 ... I've been up since just after 7 a.m.; up early because I have PT at 10:30 so I have to shower and get dried off and warmed up before I go out, although it's warmer than it has been (26 degrees at 9:05 ... that's like a heat wave!).
I go back to work today ... I am up really early, so I hope I can get in a nap this afternoon or I won't last all evening.
After PT this morning, I have to take back two tubs of kitty litter to PetsMart. I bought what I thought was unscented litter and it turned out to be scented. I put some in all my boxes thinking it was just a lot of dust, but it's so scented (I opened both tubs) that I have to cover my mouth and nose when I scoop it. I've already called PetsMart (it's their brand) and complained, and they said they'll take it back, no receipt needed (it's been more than a week since I bought it ... who knew I would need to return it? Now I have to buy more litter pan liners, change out all the boxes, buy extra litter, clean the boxes entirely wash my sheets and everything because the scent is on everything from the cats climbing in and out of the boxes. It is making me wheeze and cough and almost caused an asthma attack last night (I was about to grab my inhaler as I was coughing so badly). I'm so ticked off about this ... if it says unscented or fragrance free, then it should be. There are people who buy this because of that reason because they are allergic (like me) and can't handle the fragrance. Now I have to go to all this trouble to get the fragrance out of my house. I am really going to give PetsMart a piece of mind when I'm over there, because I'm going to have to buy more litter than I bought in the first place to refill all my boxes. I'm not a happy customer.
Then I have to run to Walgreens to pick up a prescription and some masks so that I will be better off cleaning the litter boxes. I had some ... but I used them all and ran out. My allergist suggest I use them because of all the dust in the litter boxes, and it really helped, I noticed. So I need to get some more.
My mind is ready to go back to work ... I'm bored sitting at home ... don't know if my knee is ready, though, to sit at a desk for 7 1/2 hours. I'm sure I'm going to be in some pain tonight and rather tired by the end of the week.
Jean, hope all goes well with the baby. Brenda, hope you are feeling better. Try some peppermint tea ... it usually helps my tummy when I'm not feeling well (it's a cure-all for me).

Aloha OFF family.......Oh, Jean......what an exciting time for you and your family! A new baby about to join the world.....and your very own little snuggle bug! It makes me vividly remember four years ago when my first grandson was born, and MY son put him into my arms and said, "Mom.....he's a blank slate." Today that little tyke is active, healthy, bright and full of mischief. And, how I love him!!
Oh my lord....it is going to be a gift of a morning. It i still dark outside, but I can see the place where the sun will rise behind the volcano is getting bright orange....like seeing a line of forest fire on TV. The ocean is super calm, and if today is anything like yesterday.....I will soon see spouts from our "whale soup" that is happening right now. There was a mama and baby out front yesterday that delighted all with their antics.......mama would roll on her back and slap that big (probably 40 feet tall) fin down hard enough for us to hear a big "THUMP" and then baby would do a tail slap......nose down,tail waving and slapping the water. Many people were down on the beach with mondo lenses on cameras and long range telescopes to see it up close and personal.
It is so wonderful to be home after my trip to Calif. I have become an addict of peace and quiet......solitary living, and realize how chaos really does take it out of me. While in Calif. I lost down to 148 which is crazy for me....and I've been eating constantly since getting home (good stuff.......) and am back up to 154 which is much better, but still skinny. I'm NOT complaining really........because there probably will come a day when I begin gaining past what I want to, and THEN I will have a real reason to complain.
Last night my dear friend and neighbor invited me over to share their Super Bowl dinner. She is a FABULOUS cook, and I always love her dinners. She made ribs in the oven that were melt in your mouth good, mac salad, pistachio fruit salad, bean salad and garlic bread.....all of which I ate!! Nice evening.
Today is Monday and I love Monday! I'm going to start the day like I did yesterday.....in my swimsuit out on the lanai for a couple of hours reading and getting some color on this marshmallow colored body. I feel so much better when I have at least a little bit of tan.......not so washed out.
Tomorrow will be two months since I had tummy surgery, and I am so pleased with the result. Naked, I have a scar that looks like a belly chain and a belly that is flat as a pancake, but numb like I had a shot of novacaine there. I'm sure that will eventually go away, and I still do wear a body shaper during the day, but no binder at night now. I am so thankful that both surgeries have been so trouble free, as I know many have had serious complications to deal with.
So nice to spend some quality time with you all this morning. It is like reading a novel each morning......finding out what happened in your lives the day before. As always, I appreciate so much your sharing your lives with me and letting me share mine with you.

Cold but sunny here in central Ohio. We had a decent day Sunday and got a lot of the ICE melted off the drive and sidewalks.
I tried on some clothes and OMG! Everything is way too BIG! That is good but bad since I can't afford any new ones for a long time
. I guess I better see if I can still sew? haha
