OT - Sister Study - X post

I have signed up to participate in the "Sister Study".  It is a research study tracking sisters of women who have/had breast cancer.  My sister is an 8 year breast cancer survivor.  In the study I will be tracked for 10 years.  I fill out a huge questionaire, and have a couple of phone interviews, have a home visit with a nurse.  I am participating in this study with the hope that any little thing I can do may result in a better understanding of this devastating cancer.

My Mom died from cancer that started as breast cancer and went to bone cancer.  I have walked in many Relay for Life walks.

My sister wanted me to do that since one of them had breast cancer. I have 2 older sisters. Breast cancer is prominent in my paternal grandmothers family. At the time my sister (not the one who had cancer) wanted me to participate, I had too many of my own issues going on (health and otherwise). I now greatly regret that I did not do it.

I am very proud of you for getting involved!!! YAY!

Good girl !! Like Connie said the more we can do the better chance of putting the monster in place. I too lost some one to breast cancer..my DAD.
