Best wishes George.

I am meeting a nice gentleman this evening at a posh & trendy seafood restaurant for dinner (his choice) I just hope I can handle eating.

I am off (soon) for a facial, manicure and to get my hair done. Men are soooooooo lucky! haha!

All of my clothes are way too big. I took in and shortened a pretty leopard print skirt of my Mom's and it looks great with a black turtleneck (very soft). I will freeze myself in that skirt (still pretty chilly here in Ohio)!

Good Morning George and everyone........

George.....hope the results of your test turns out good.
Just to let you know the Forever Box will be sent out to you in  a few days....I just got it yesterday.

Everything has settled down with Kyleigh (granddaughter). We are praying she makes it through school the rest of the week. I spoke with her last night and she was much less agitated and was actually laughing a little.

My daughter Carrie works for Snyder Drug. Her store is the busiest store in their company. They found out yesterday that they are closing all but 30 of the stores. Lucky for her it wasn't the one she works at. There is quite a shake up going on!!
One of the managers at her store was an older gentleman and had been with the company for 27  years. He was let go yesterday. Mostly because of his age and his inability to run the cash register/computer. He has a wife with kidney failure and now no insurance. Carrie said he came into the office and cried and cried. She felt just awful!!  Jobs are just not secure anymore.....it is pretty scary!!

My cleaning fairy will be here anytime and boy am I glad. After the drywalling was done I have a ton of dust to get cleaned up...UGH!!

My nephew is coming over tonight to hook up my new computer. I have had it for at least a month and  I need it set up. I look forward  to an updated computer and having the flat screen. I will have so much more desk space too. I am goiving my  old computer....well not that old...to a good friend of mine that doesn't have one. Pay It Forward right!!!

So much for my rambling....best get to work.

Have a happy day everyone!!

Special prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all.......connie d

Hi George and all
I'm over feeling sorry for myself after the second denial for wls that I received yesterday.  I'm ready to fight now - I'm putting on my big girl panties (Margo LOL).
Not much time to talk - I'm on my way to work.
George - I've read Patterson and Grisham, but I don't really like Patterson anymore.  Have you read Scott Turow??  He's a wonderful writer and makes the reader think.  He writes about the same type of situations that Grisham does.
Well, off to the frigid weather outside.  I always forget to start the car with the remote, so when I get in, I freeze all the way to my job, which is about 5 minutes from me.  Remind me again when the warm weather starts!
Try to keep warm.
Connie  -  good thoughts going out for your grandson and granddaughter.

margaret-today those big girl panties needed to be thermal, eh?!!!!!! OMG my car was sooooo cold at 430 this morning!!! it at out all nite -which it never has before--and it was slow to start...it was only -3* !!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning to you, George and my OFF family. Today is Thursday and so that means that the time for the week end is fast approaching! Hooray!

It is cold here but warming up a bit at a time. It started out at 5* and now it is 8*. So that is good news. The wind chill is -10* but I guess you can't have everything. But it would be nice. It is suppose to get up to 50* this Saturday and another day during the next week. I will believe it when I see it. It seems like they tease us and get our hopes up and then BAM! they pull the rug out from under us. I am on to that stuff and I am not falling for it again. It hurts to fall into the cold abyss all the time!

I am planning on staying home today. I was gone for a long time yesterday and I am just tired today. I have to catch up on a couple of things, like housework and Lay Speaker School homework. The teacher in that class really piled on a lot of it this past Sunday. I am to old for this amount of homework. It has been a long time since school and homework. : )

The urologist appointment went well yesterday. I have to get another 24 hour urine test done and then get some blood work and then I am good to go until August. I have to get another KUB in August and then go see him again. I am just praying that the 24 hour and the blood tests come back fine.

I am going to be a wonderful wife today and I am making Bill homemade Beef Stew tonight for dinner. He made the remark that he misses my making homemade things at times and so tonight is the night. It has been so long since I made stew I hope that I remember how to do it. Oh the trials of being a homemaker.

I better get moving. I have a couple of things to do before I get doing stuff around here. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers/special thoughts are going for all. Remember to smile and have a wonderful Thursday!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good Morning

I'm headed out in a few minutes to hit a few thrift stores with a friend.  Thought I'd try out the new GPS, now that I've figured out how to use it.

("Mom, you just push the toggle switch to turn it on, type in an address, and follow the voices......!")

Oh, well.

Then heading to a mall I've never been to, and just plain wandering around for the afternoon.  I don't really need anything, but this cabin fever's gotten me down.   It's time to get out.  It's nice and sunny today, but temps are still in the low teens.

Don't like it!

Everyone have a good day.

Candy
