wow..Wow..WOW!!!!!
I am in SHOCK !! a good 10 years ago ( before my WLS) I took one of those tests..How long will you live. The results came back that I had a life expectancy of 64 years. Of course I was doing every thing wrong, except I didn't smoke or drink. Today there is one on MSN home page under the health section. I took it and it gave me a life expectancy of ...drum roll please.....98 years!!!
It didnt ask about cronic conditions. I have had Rheum arthritis for over 25 years and take pretty powerful drugs that will effect my later life. I have no intention of living that long. But just the fact that I have improved my health so much that I don't feel like I need to start packing my bags so soon. How kewl is that ( don't think I will tell my kids)

Hi J
I took one of those tests last year and it told me that I would live to 96 and I'm in my 70's That gave me enough of a push to say I don't want to live this fat for the rest of my life and gave me courage to explore surgery. I had lapband on Jan 23 of this year and feel as though I'm on the beginning of a very long journey. With about 70 lbs to lose I know it won't happen all the first year but since I'll be around so long .... so what. There are so many things i'll be able to do more easily along the way. I'm an artist and have had such a bad back it has been too hard to stand at my easel. I'm yearning to get back. I also love to walk the dogs which has been impossible. Ah, life, I'm coming back !!!!
Congratulations, J, let's check back in about 10 years (I hope a lot sooner too).
