FOUR years ago this morning. . .

Dee, I can happen for you too. The "plus" of being super morbidly obese (if there can be one!) is that we tend to lose the weight faster. Some weeks I would lose 5-7 lbs! 100 lbs in 4 months. And it just continued week after week. Truly amazing. Just keep reading, researching, getting yourself as prepared as you possibly can. It's quite a ride!

I still have that rock that you carried from somewhere to here.  I also fondly remember our meet up.  When I saw you and heard you I had this relief that someone as big as I was then could be successful.  I couldn't wait and you and Jan were the first that I wanted to know that I was ten minus two and counting.  I am so happy that you are doing so well.  Isn't life grand.  I, like you, had no lap and now it is not uncommon to have two or more grands competing for a spot on the ample lap.  I think, if there is any one great about this surgery, it is the lap room.  I cannot wait until you get back this way.  Or, until I finally finish this education and head west. 

Jeannie, I believe the rock was from my mom's rock garden. She hauled rocks from all over the country and Canada to make terraced rock walls in her back yard. She would be pleased that it landed in Arkansas her birthplace. Can't wait to come back your way also.

Hi Cheryl, Gee it's good to see you. I've been wondering how you are doing. Hope that it is busy, happy, and healthy. Hopefully spring in Spokane is not too far away. We're starting to get a glimmer of warmer days and it isn't getting dar****il almost 5:30! I still have work to do. I'm about 40 lbs from my goal and haven't been doing much to get myself there. I know I can do it; I just need to DO it!

Aloha dear friend....I don't know how I missed this yesterday, but I did! I am one of the fortunate ones who have been able to meet you face to face, and I"m so thankful for that.

You truly ARE an inspiration to so many in here....in so many ways.

I'm flying out the door to test babies (5:00 a.m.), or I would have so much more to say.

MK, From the sounds of these posts I'm NEVER home. . . I think I need to change my name to "Where's Karen?"  Thank YOU for being such a warm, calming presence in my life.

My daughter and two of her friends are taking a girl getaway for 5 days April 22-27. They are coming to Maui staying at one of the Aston Kaanaapali beach hotels. Air and 5 nights from Seattle for $650.00! Incredible. They don't care about fancy; just want to relax on the beach. Erin is really in need of it. I know she'll miss the babies and Josh like crazy but it will be so good for her. He gets away fishing and to coaching clinics. She has the "mom guilt" and rarely goes anywhere. I'd love for you to meet her.
