Good morning Linda.

A relatively good day for food for me.

Snacks were 5 sugarfree chocolate covered grahams, about 1" of sugarfree fudge, and 2 oz of chocolate crisp bar.  Along with my cup of cubed cheese.

B- 2egg omelot with cheese
L and S - my favorite.  2 grilled chicken patties from McDonalds, Angel Hair pasta, green beans.

My weight was back down to 210 yesterday.  Right where I want it.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Linda,

One of the things that gets to me when I read posts on the lap-band forum is how many members think that weight loss surgery is going to cure their food addiction.  As grateful as I am for all my WLS has done for me, I'm still aware that my eating demons in my head are alive and well.

B: chocolate peanut butter protein shake with banana
S: iced skinny latte
L: ham salad
S: 100-cal pack of sour cream & onion crackers
D: shrimp, cauliflower & mushroom casserole
S: Creme Savers SF caramel chocolate candies

Well said Jean..so very true. I am so grateful at how far I have come, but I know what is around the corner,I thank God for my pre-surgery education of who I am,and always will be.

I'm swimming as hard as I can. Last night I ate about 1/2 cup of rice - ohh the pain!!! It is not a food normally on my menu and won't be again for a long time.

Annette, for the longest time I couldn't tolerate rice - felt like razor blades going down.  It really didn't matter since I'm not a big fan of rice anyway.  (Imagine that, a Cajun who doesn't like rice LOL).  Within the last few weeks, I've been able to tolerate a tbsp. or two occasionally.  I'm still going to stay away from it for the most part.  My starch of choice would be potatoes any day!

Debbie,

The rice felt like it swelled to the size of a Goodyear Blimp and stuck in my throat. Potatoes have never been my favorite either. You can have mine.

Hi, Linda,

B-Protein shake (GNC) with skimmed milk
Oatmeal - no sugar (I just started taking this in addition to protein shake - 2 hrs later)
L-Tuna, some chickpeas, 3-4 Carrs crackers
S-Yogurt
D-Fish,mixed veggies
S-60 cal no sugar choc pudding or 15 cal ice pop

I feel I always need that protein shake for enough protein - around 8am  when I get to work.  I just started the low sugar oatmeal around 10 am which holds me to 1 at lunch but I think this might be too much. I'll prob elimintae the skimmed milk from the shake. I figure it totals around 1000-1100 calories.

I have only had restriction (ex for first 2 weeks) for 3 days after my first fill end January so this
is total willpower.  I get my second Feb 25.

I'm a newbie and I'm not exercising enough - treadmill 3 times a week.  My son just bought me
2 pound weights - do you have any exercises for arms, waist to start?

Thanks, I really like this 50+ site.  I'm 60.
