With limited computer time (sneaking online at work), I can't thank each one of you individually.  So here's a great big blanket thank you to everyone for your prayers and words of support.  The cardiologist's scheduling person offered George the day after Mardi Gras or the Friday after. (25th or 27th).  His first thought was he didn't want any medical procedure that wasn't an emergency done the day after Mardi Gras for fear the doctor would be too hung over!  We're at the point where we sit, glance sideways at each other and sigh.  It's like that elephant in the living room that no one wants to talk about.  I have about a hundred questions running through my mind about to how to handle our finances, but hesitate to ask.  On a good note, with our daughter, SIL, and Gabe coming in this weekend, we will a little distraction.

Much thanks and love,
Debbie

 Debbie,

I had to chuckle at the comment about surgery after Mardi Gras.  Unfortunately, it is probably too true.

I certainly don't envy you with this situation.  It would be very hard to deal with.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and George.  Keep leaning on us for support, we do care.

I'm glad to hear  your family will be with you this weekend.   Lean on each other and keep us posted.
Try not to dwell on the "what if " questions,  You are smart and resourceful.

Good luck Debbie on whatever decision you and your husband make. I am not sure I would want them to do surgery on me if there was a fear of the Dr. being drunk.  But then how do we know they are always at their best any time.  Some of the stories you hear.  Hopefully, they will act as professionals should act.  I know you must be worried no matter what. It is good your family will be with you this weekend.
Take care,
Mickey

Wishing your George the best outcome and sending you positive thoughts, prayers and love to get you through whatever you need the strength to get through while George recovers.

Hugs, Laureen
