OT: Dillinger Update - 2 - Our Visit

Just wanted to let you all know, I saw my boy tonight.

The surgeon told me before I went up to the ICU, that he would be asleep; that I could pet him and such and she painted a scenario that was a little less scary, though not good either, it is what it is. . .

What I want to share with all of you is that when we got up there, the surgeon was surprised and delighted, as Dillinger was sitting (well actually laying on his belly of all things, but upright position) and he greeted me with a wag of his tail and a bit of a whine, most definitely a great sign, he was most happy to see us and the surgeon is THRILLED with his spirit and recovery so far.  Though it is still early, he might come home as early as Saturday, but the next 24 hours will tell the story and, of course, there will be the pathology report that won't be in until Monday or Tuesday, but whatever it is, I am going to be able to handle it, mainly because of good people like you who made my day with all of the outpouring of support, which is why this is one of the great places to hang out and learn about WLS and living life too!

Good night, I am off for some much needed sleep. . .

Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen
