I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Pastor told this in church yesterday. Lady tells this preacher she hates her job. Hates everything about it. She hates the people she works with. There is nothing to like about the job.
So he says to her "Do you like getting a paycheck?" She says yes, he says write down "I Like getting paid for my job". Do you like getting 2 weeks vacation every year? Write down "I like getting 2 weeks vacation every year.". Etc. etc.
Eventually the list reached 20 items. At that point the preacher says he wants her to take that list and read it at least once a day, every day.
30 days later he runs into her and asks her how the job is. She says it is great. Everything is wonderful. You would not believe how much everyone has changed since I talked to you.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good story, I think it's called focusing on the positives and finding gratitude for what you got, cause there is always someone, somewhere who has cir****tances that are not quite as beneficial as your own. . . a lesson I try to remember in the hard times when I am apt to bemoan the cir****tances of the moment I am in. For instance, I am grateful for being employed today, when so many are facing unemployment, I am grateful my Dillinger has made it the far and I am grateful for. . . so many more things. A grateful heart has no room to hate or live in fear. . .

Good Monday morning, ya'll.
We don't have snow. WooHoo!! My Sissy has a foot! I LOVE NC.
I actually have to go out today. I need to go to the PO and stop and get some milk. I haven't left the house since I got back from Texas on Thursday night. It has been raining here pretty steady since then! I am so glad I have an elliptical here that I can use.
My DH gets his band this week. We will drive to Greenville on Wednesday, surgery will be early Thursday, we'll be back home on Friday. He only has to do 1 week of liquids pre-op this time, since he lost 20 pounds on the previous 2 week pre-op liquids. He is very excited!
Everyone have a fantabulous day. Stay warm and safe!
I am baking two apple pies today. One for Tom, one for my mechanic. It has been so long since I baked that I may have to get out the cook book. In the 'olden days' I baked often, not now. As long as it isn't CHOCOLATE there is no temptation.
That's my 2 cents worth.
kisses

This morning finds me writing from my home computer, as the iffy weather and road conditions for driving, as well as commuter rail problems are something I do not wish to experience today and so I am grateful that business is slow and I can opt out for today. I'm a city girl not used to driving icy roads and a firm believer if you are not skilled enough to be on the roadways, then stay off 'em, I try to live what I believe (lol), or perhaps it's just a good excuse to stay home with the Dillinger dog. . .
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Yesterday was a good one. We went to look at a truck that was advertised by a local dealer. They were closed. Then, after driving by a few others we noticed they were all closed! No car sales on Sunday? What the heck??? As bad as sales have been you'd think they'd be open 24/7 just in case someone had the need/urge to buy. Oh well, wasn't meant to be, I guess.
Here's some good news for folks who used to buy Citrical Creamy Bites.....Bariatric Advantage is going to start selling them under their name in 23 days!!!! They even have a counter tracking how many days, hours and minutes until they are released. You can pre-order them, too.
Laureen, my heart breaks for you and Dillinger. Hang in there.
Hope everyone has a grand day.
