What's new Monday?
HI All
My Monday will consist of going to Wally World (Got foodstamps today). Still looking
and applying for any work out there!! Still unemployed since October, accept for the
2 weeks I worked in December I don't think that really counts.
My health is pretty darn good these days & with my new Doc I am sure will get even better.
My plan is to buy healthy foods today & leave the junky stuff at the store. Don't need
it anyway & just leads to more carb crashing in the end.
It's pushing 8:3o a.m here in Az & already 52 & should be around mid to high 70;s today. Sorry, but you guys & gals can have that snow, don't like & never will,
That is why I left Carson City Nv due to snow in the winter. I am a southern Calif person most of my life & just don't deal with snow very well.

Aloha Margo....and all OFFers!!
Margo.....nice to see you here starting the thread. You just reminded me that you almost moved to Hawaii...I had forgotten. And, yes....fuzzy jammies are needed occasionally...not often...but right now is one of those times. The thermometer in my bedroom says 71, but it's chilly to me and I have fuzzy slippers on and a long robe. I wish your story had included a move here.....would have been fun to be neighbors.
The stock market is killing me!! I almost hate to turn on the TV these days, and keep thinking things have to turn around one of these days, but I'm afraid my little nest egg will be vaporized before it does. Right now I am very thankful for my little part time job as a newborn hearing screener ..... very thankful. I may NEED to find something full time in the near future. However, I NEVER see want ads for rusty clinical psychologists!
I'm trying to follow Floyd and Laureen's good advice and keep thinking positive, and be thankful every day. I know I always feel better when I do that. Right now I'm thankful to be healthy, to be living on Maui, to be able to see the sunrise over the ocean every morning, and to have loving people in my life....including all of you.
Tonight we are having a girls' night at the movies.....at home. Four of us will watch "Hawaii" and bring pot luck pupus to share. Should be fun. I haven't seen that movie for probably 35 years. I'm sure it will have a totally different punch than it did when I was living in Calif.
Time to start the day. Hope you all have a wonderful one, and that something magical happens that you can share with us.

ah karen...after the things that have transpired here last few days i am still tempted by the move--we were looking at Volcano and Mountainview areas of the Big Island -upper elevations so yes, warm jammies sometimes! michael still gazes over when he thinks h'ii...then he starts about panama-retirees can live cheaply there an dthe climate is similar to h'ii...however- i am really afraid to go so far from all of our family incase something happens to him and i need help....
enjoy the movie- i saw it again after we visited! awesome ...i wish we could eventually at least travel there- and to maui as well...michale livedthere before .for about 7 years.kula......

I have finally caught up on the board. I can't believe all I have missed in just 4 days!!
Margo....I hate Monday's too....UGH!!!!
I had a wonderful time in Iowa. So much love....so much emotion!! Thank you all for the support you always give to my Nic (grandson)! We would be lost without all of you!!
The rest of the trip wasn't so good. Problems with Dwayne's family. I tried to stay out of it and just played with the baby.It set the mood for the rest of the trip!!
Went to my other daughter Carrie's. All was okay until there was a ruckus involving Kyleigh (granddaughter). Dwayne stepped in when he shouldn't have....a very long story.
All has turned out well with Kyleigh. She now has a special person from the county that she will be working with one on one .This person (Twyla) will be responsible for getting Kyleigh to school everyday. Kyleigh must check in with her every morning before school and every afternoon after school. This person will also call Kyleigh in the evening and see how things are going. Kyleigh can call her 24/7 for any reason.... as can my daughter. This person will also work with Kyleigh's mental health team. She wants to go back to her original school and they are hoping to make that happen by next week.This new school isn't working for her. I think she was surprised at the type of troubled kids that are there. She has been scared.Someone has been stalking her.We are praying this is the boost Kyleigh needs to get back on track.
As for Dwayne....I am taking a break. I have a lot to think about and so does he.
Missing 4 days of work has put me behind. I best get back to work.
Laureen....my thoughts and prayers continue to come your way. Give Dillinger a big hug!!
