George ~ go right ahead and give us a nudge. It is nice to wake up and find the thread started.

Eddie must be a good ball player and you a PROUD grandpa.

My grandson Travis made the Varsity ball team. He's only a sophomore.

Tom's boss announced that he is dropping medical insurance for spouses, effective immediately. Just another sign of our sinking economy. Now we are scrambling to find coverage for me. This is scary.

oh annette-it is scary! when i had my wls i was told that i had to wait 3 yrs to get a policy  (if i didn't already have mine -which i did at that time)

now i am told it has to be 5 years-which will be this month for me--

point: if you can get a cobra do it...even tho i know it costs a fortune

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Thanks for the suggestion Margo. This cancellation came with NO warning.

Everything costs a fortune. No health coverage could be a complete disaster for any of us, with or without WLS.

I am happy to know you will soon have coverage. Waiting is no fun.

HI All
Went back to the new Doc yesterday & am back on anti-depressants which I needed
very badly. Now on prozac & slept 9 hrs last night which is the best sleep I have had in months. So I am thinking Tuesday looks lots better than all the rest. I know they take a few days sometimes longer, but, I feeling better already this A.M. Was 35-40 MPH winds yesterday should be a lot less today & will be walking sometime today for
sure. Go out if you can & make it a great Tuesday

Annette,

This economy is absolutely frightening.  I have private insurance since I'm self-employed.  Hopefully, you will not get penalized a year for pre-existing conditions.  I'd call your insurance commission office and find how the best way to proceed without losing coverage or being penalized.  Good luck to you.

Bearlady - I hope the med works wonders for you!

Just did 21 vigorous minutes on the treadmill.  YAY me!  LOL

Hi George and my OFF family:

It's dreary and rainy again ... temps are supposed to start going down. It's 40 now but supposed to drop throughout the day.

Well, the remodeling has begun in the office. They began to move the graphics department yesterday. I didn't realize what was going on until someone said to me, "There goes the graphics department." I said, yeah, he leaves at 5 everyday. ... That wasn't what she meant. Oh, it's the remodeling. They moved them into where photo used to be. Photo doesn't need all that room anymore because they don't develop anything anymore, everything's digital. So everything starting to move around. This is supposed to open everything up for the new copy desk. At least for the Muskegon and Kalamazoo people.

Today we have a big meeting to discuss how we are going to ramp up our presence online. I hope it means I have something more to do. I'm pretty bored at night with just two pages. I'm usually done way too early and then have nothing to do. That was fine when I was dealing with a lot more pain and lack of stamina, but I've regained my stamina (although sometimes I still have some pain issues).

Eddie sounds like quite the player, George. Is this T-ball or regular baseball?

I added a SF Kahlua syrup to my Nectar Cappucino protein shake ... oh yummy! I think that was the best one yet. Made it very coffee tasting.

Well, I need to get in the shower ... have an appointment with my psychologist this morning. Hate to be out there in the rain. After my session, I have to stop at the store for a few things and then pick up a prescription and my allergy pills; I can feel the allergies starting up already. I'm just going to get some Zyrtec OTC for now.
Have a good day.
