Hi friends:
It's sunny here today again and nearly 60 degrees...one more day of warm weather they say and then to cool back down to the mid 40's.

I went for a 1 1/2 mile walk yesterday.....I am so proud of myself.....legs were a little sore today, but I got right on the recumbent bike and did 30 minutes and 4.1 miles and they felt better.

Just got back from my PCP -- he was concerned about the high level of calcium in my blood and had some bloodwork drawn.....it's still in the high range, but my parathyroid levels are fine, so for now he only wants me to take 3 calcium pills a day, instead of 4.   He also took me off allopurinal (for gout)....my uric acid count was good so we'll see if it stays that way....sure hope I don't have a gout attack!   So painful.   I don't have to go back to see him for 3 months now   -- hurrah!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Pat R.

Hi George and OFF,
So what is new with me.......ME!  If you would like to know what that means, check out my thread today.  It will update you a little bit of what my life has been like in the past 4 months...The Old New Me and The New Old Me....

I am overwhelmed by the kind support I received on my thread today, and throughout the most recent part of my WL journey.  Thank you and I am humbled.

Need to get ready for the monthly WLS support meeting.
Hugs to all,
Lora

Just a quick hello,

We're in Chehalis, WA with our daughter and family. Erin turns 31  today and her adorable little twin girls turn one today. We celebrated yesterday with birthday cake. They each had a tiny little one to make a mess of. And mess they did. Hannah really got into it. I don't think any went IN her mouth boy man oh man was she wearing it!

We're staying over here until Friday so that I can go along on the one year doctor visit where there will be shots and a blood draw. Fun. . .

Tomorrow we're headed to Seattle for the day where we'll visit my sis in law and our son and his girlfriend. We'll have dinner with them before heading back down here.

Making chicken and dumplings for Erin's birthday tonight. Her request. It's rainy here but things are greening up and daffodils are a blooming. We're several weeks behind in our area of the state. Still getting frosts. . .

Not much else to report. Been trying to find a nice black sweater to take on my trip. Shouldn't be that difficult but no luck so far. They're either like sweatshirts or too fancy. Can't find just the right one. Think I'll try some on line looking to see if I can find what I like.

Chicken smells like it's done. Need to cool it before I can debone and finish the pot of dumplings. Hope life is treating you well.

Good evening everyone!
I took today off, we watched our grandson, he is out of school this week for spring break. I wanted to spend some time with him.  We did a little business shopping and then we went up to the governor's mansion and walked the trails.  It was fun, but boy am I tired and achy.  A good achy though, I couldn't have done this over 3 years ago or 130 lbs ago.  We walked up and down through the woods, over logs, under tree limbs.  It was in the 70' s here today and suppose to be that warm or warmer tomorrow.  They are having a St. Pat's parade downtown tomorrow.  It will be right outside where I work, will probably get to see a little bit since it is during lunch time.
Sounds like everybody is pretty busy and the spring weather is trying to perk us all up.  I know I am ready, I am tired of the winter blues.
Have a good rest of the day.
Mickey
