I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

monday afternoon; we had beautiful sunshine and about 50*--in our back yard we have a big ugly box elder tree--when we moved here in 2004,i had asked michael why we didn't have it trimmed up to get rid of the unsightly dead branches and his reply was because of the birds etc that will enjoy it--we have enjoyed hawks and many of the winter birds ...monday we had a big ol beautiful owl sunning himself in one of the holes!!!! he was quite visible and gorgeous--tawny face feathers --he was there again last nite when we got home from plasma donation--can't find my camera to snap a pic...

monday nite was DAR; i was elected to be Vice Regent for the next 3 years.

Morning Sunshine!

I just love your avatar, it makes me smile every time I see it. Great way to start the day. Thanks again for getting the birthday bandwagon started. I LOVE that you were early....just that much more time for me to have fun!

Congratulations on the new DAR title. Good positive thing for you to do, and something you'll enjoy and be good at. Way to go!

Not much happening here but work, work, and more work. Grateful, yes, but no time to get much else done. I accidentally ordered 5 gallons of the wrong shower gel base from our distributor. It hasn't shipped yet so I'm begging them to hold up on it and exchange it for the right one. Lots of money involved here with shipping and all, so I'll be on pins and needles while I wait for them to respond today.

Gary went back to OA this week. Not only does it help his over eating, it helps him control his OCD that get so bad sometimes that he can't concentrate on one thing at a time. Only problem is, he won't come home until I'm home (to stay away from trigger foods), so I feel under the gun to get out of the salon quickly and home to get dinner ready. Since I've been working until 6:30 or 7:00 most evenings it means lots of prior planning and a little more stress.

Okay, off I go. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Hugs to all!

Susan

Susan, I was gone and so I am not sure just when your birthday is but here goes:

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday dear Susan!
Happy Birthday to you!

May all your days be filled with joy and happiness. May you have more happiness in all your tomorrows than any of your today's have been. You deserve nothing but the greatest that can be had and remember that there is a lot of people who love you very much!

I have sad news this morning.....my son called me here at work to tell me their Abby dog went to heaven this morning.....Oh my gosh, I knew she was getting worse, but she went down and they couldn't get her back up at all.....she was 14 and they've had her ever since they've been married.
She was my "grand dogger" and I loved her.  She's at the rainbow bridge now waiting with all the other pets for their masters to come and claim them on their way to heaven.   I cried, I couldn't help it, pets are like children....she'll be missed so much.

the other sad news is my first cousin (like a sister to me) has colon cancer and they found a really large tumor...she will have surgery on Monday March 30th, plus chemo and radiation.  Please remember "Judy" in your prayers....she has a really good outlook and will fight it with all of her strength.

It has too get better today.....

Pat:

Sorry about your grand-dogger. I too feel our pets are our children; I know mine are, and when I lost Kittle and Cinnamon (my first two cats), I felt the loss for months ... I still feel Cinnamon's presence in my condo because he died in my arms (vet came to the home to put him to sleep).

Your first cousin is in my prayers and I hope all will be OK. Colon cancer runs in my family (dad had it), so I worry about it a lot.
