What's New -- Thursday Edition
I'm sending good, positive vibes to those who need them.
What's new with you?
Cindy P.
My grandson Travis is on the Varsity baseball team. My daughter sent a picture of him after getting clobbered in the face by a curve ball. The entire side of his face is swollen and distorted. It is a small miracle that he didn't have a concussion; it hit him on the cheekbone.
Mary put me on the speaker phone so I could talk to my M&M's. Matthew got all excited and said "Grandma's HOME", then ran to the door. He wailed when he didn't see me. Awww, the little guy misses me. Mary finally had to tell him that I was at WORK.
Nothing new happening, same old stuff, different day.
Yeah, I got the bug too. I felt miserable at work last night ... luckily got home early. Hoped to get to sleep early but then couldn't sleep. Wound up reading in bed as my nose dripped (at least no coughing). I don't need prescriptions at this point, it's just a cold. I just drink my echinacea tea and take zyrtec-d and keep blowing my nose. I make everyone miserable around me. It's not going to be fun driving to Chicago this weekend for the birthdays and Easter.
I'm up early because I have to go get the oil changed in my car and the tires rotated before I go to Chicago, then get my plates renewed before my birthday. Then I have to get some cards and wrapping paper and do some other shopping. So busy day.
Well, off to do my stuff. Have a good day.
Good morning to you, Cindy. I sure hope that this round of meds helps you to get back to normal. It is terrible and that bug that is going around is treacherous. He just refuses to kick the bucket! Please take care of you, we sometimes forget to do that the way we should.
I take DIL to get her NST this afternoon. We got an earlier appointment, which is at 1 instead of the usual 4. We are still on Kayden watch. Poor Carol is beginning to think he is never going to make his appearance. All she says is that she is so ready to get this thing done so she can see her feet again. ha ha She is so tired most of the time and just plain uncomfortable. I keep assuring her that it is coming to an end. The nurses on Monday told her and DS that they don't think he is going to wait until Wednesday to be induced either. Poor Carol says that she thinks he is going to wait until she is induced and then wait to the last minute to be born too! I feel so sorry for her.
I took my sister to the doctor yesterday and that went well. I was so tired by the time I got home. We went to a dollar store but it wasn't that great. It was the one that DS wanted to go to and she even said that it wasn't the same as she remembered it to be. I didn't find anything there at all. Carolyn on the other hand found $22 worth of stuff. Her doctor's visit went well and she is glad that she is back with her old doctors. Personally I am too, now maybe I will stop hearing about how she can't stand her doctor!
I better get going. I am getting so hungry. I didn't fix dinner last night and by the time I went to bed....later than usual too...I was hungry. I just laid there for a couple of minutes and then rolled over and went to sleep. So...when I got up this morning I wasn't hungry and now it is here with a vengeance. I hope it isn't signs of what today is going to be like. My oatmeal is calling my name...I can hear it through the cabinet door. Muffled but still and all calling.
I am sending love and hugs to all. Have a wonderful day and know that you are included in my prayers. Just make sure you keep smiling and spreading cheer and happiness wherever you go.
A hurried morning today. My cleaning fairy should be here any moment. Then I have three clients to meet after she leaves. Another busy day!!
Cindy.....I hope you are feeling better now. I have been fighting this cold for a couple weeks. It seems like it is going away and then it comes back with a vengeance!
Annette....I love to hear your grandchildren stories...they always make me smile!!
George....I don't see your post yet????
Best get going for now. I will check in again later.
Prayers to those in need...including Dillinger!
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
I had a major breakdown last night Everything just finally hit bottom, the not working. the no money, my living situation. It all just caved in last night. Went to church & usually that changes my mood considerably, but it made things worse. I just felt worthless. I know I am not, but, it does all come haunting me at times

I did sleep pretty decent last night & so far so good I am in a better mood so far. I did
go to s upport group meeting the other night the first one in a very long time. Might join
tops, just for something to be accountable to for what I eat these days.
Have a good Thursday & I will work on it as well.
We are still in North Carolina and am having a great time. We are going to lunch at the Builtmore Estate and tour the mansion.I have always wanted to see the inside of the estate.

Gee, I sure hope you feel better soon. My poor Gary has terrible allergies and they were bad enough as it was, but then they started working on the air conditioner ducts at his office (old, old 1930's building) and it stirred up more junk. He left work, went to the doctor and got a bunch of Rx's. He's feeling better now, thank goodness.
I ordered my new Bariatric Advantage Creamy Bites a couple of months ago, before they were ready to ship. I've been anxiously awaiting thier arrival, but nothing yet. So, I placed a call to them just now, and it seems that someone in California is the proud owner of 4 boxes of calicum chews!! I bet they don't have a clue what they're for!! The company is resending them to me today, hope by priority mail!!
Tonight is our monthly support group meeting and some of us are getting together before for a cuppa at the Starbuck's that's in the hospital building. It will be nice to see them, they're such a good group of folks. All except the dumb guy who's eating 6 oz steaks when he's only 4 months post op. He's a doozy, don't know what to do with him. I might have to put on my ugly face tonight.
Well, you all have a dandy day and know I love ya!
