What's New Thursday?
Hi my OFF family:
For most of you, it's nearly the end of the week ... I still have three more days left (I work Saturdays now). Hard to remember that for me again.
Left for work early today so I could stop at the chiropractor ... he doesn't have a schedule, so it's first come, first served. Boy, was he busy today. His receptionist was trying to find chairs from inside the office for the waiting room.
Got to work so I could hit the office book sale ... always good buys there. Didn't get a chance to talk to my boss, and there was an e-mail from him to everyone on the desk about a morning meeting. So I messaged him back about it. He got back to me and said he was having an aortic valve replacement next week and would be off for 4-5 weeks. Sounds pretty serious to me, but he insists it's routine. I really like my boss, he's the best one I've ever had. So please keep him in your thoughts/prayers, whatever it is you do.
Came home and watched the White Sox beat the Orioles 8-2 so that was fun ... my allergies are really kicking up a notch lately. I looked at the weather map we run daily and it says the pollen count is high ...no foolin'! I could've told you that. Plus, it's supposed to be in the 80s by the weekend. Unfortunately, I'll have to keep everything closed up if the pollen count is high.
Well, post away. It's payday, but the check isn't in the bank yet. And I'm too tired to stay up and wait for it. I'll check later before I head out to the store.
My Rangers weren't so lucky. But their game was humorous. We scored 3 runs in the ninth inning off BJ Ryan (the closer) and sent the game to extra innings. The Rangers were running out of pitchers. They picked up a pitcher today from the Mets. He arrived at the ballpark during the game. His name is Dennis O'Day. They did not have a uniform prepared for him. They gave him Kason Gabbard's jersey (with Gabbard's name on the back). Then they had to bring him into the game in the 11th inning. He got out to the mound and introduced himself to the players in the infield. He was out there shaking hands, saying hi. He gave up the game winning hit to the first batter he faced. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.
Ready for next week. I am going to at 5 games. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Caring for my neighbor's 22 cats has caused concern. I cannot keep up with them and don't believe she can either. Feeding, watering, and cleaning litter is a huge chore. One cat does not use the litter box - maybe more than one? I am trying to track down one of her relatives to come look at this situation. I really don't want to call animal control before she comes home but it will happen soon. So sad; it will break her heart.
It is snowing - phooey!!!!
Saturday and Sunday will be in the 80's. Can't wait.

Beautiful day here in Mich. But I agree with Eileen its cold! It has to warm up! I want to take my mom on a picnic to marrow.
I'm not big on sports, in fact don't like them, nothing against sports just absolutely no interest in them. I do how ever enjoy seeing the enthusiasm everyone has for different sports, I enjoy reading about the group here who follow their teams.
I too have fun with allergies. I give myself shots during the summer to go along with the pills and I am having to start them early this year I guess. but that's ok they do keep me functioning.
Hope everyone has a good day and a great upcoming weekend.
The sun is out today and boy that makes me happy. I can do a lot more things when the sun is out. When it is overcast I am too! I am not at all sure what the temperatures are suppose to get to but I do know that they are saying the 80's for a couple of days. I just wish that this Weather Channel thing would come in my icon tray all the time and not just when it feels like it.
Misty is out munching away for her breakfast. Usually she has already ate her breakfast before I get up and so she just runs around like a fool. I can tell she is getting older.....she is filling out like the rest of us....she isn't jumping around and playing like she use to. I have to find her some other form of exercise. She is going to lose her girlish figure if she doesn'****ch out!
Eileen, I totally understand about the allergy things bothering you. I take a daily pill and use a nose spray for mine and I am still sneezing like a fool just about every day. It is going to be a horror spring and summer if it stays like it is now. I had problems with allergies when I was younger but I am telling you that they are just so much worse. It seems like each season I just get worse.
Bill and I are going to see Kayden this morning. I talked to Bill and told him that Kayden has been in my heart since the day I found out he was on his way. He should be in my life. We talked to Shawn and he understood where I was coming from. I told Bill that I wasn't sure if they would welcome me into their sons life and if they didn't I would take responsibility for it but I was told that I was Kayden's grandma and he needed both his grandma and grandpa. I guess Carol wasn't the only one who was hormonal either. I think they were raging in me too. So things are on the mend and I am good with that. Bill is really working at doing his part and trust me on the fact that when he "forgets" I am going to be the first in line to remind him! This is a two way street. I had the suggestion of writing a journal for Kayden and I am going to do that. I love the idea and I think it is something that he would like when he gets older.......much older but that is alright. I am looking forward to sharing thoughts, feelings and ideas with him. It is something that I as an adult would have loved for my parents or grandparents to do but who would have thought that? Not my family. Besides, I love to write and so that is going to be a love and not a chore. I might even add a bit of poetry in it for him. Of course he might think they are crazy but then again so is Grandma at times. ha ha By the time he gets the journal he will no doubt know that he has a crazy Grandma! But after all I am his Grandma and he's gotta love me.
I better get going. I am hoping that everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the singing birds like I am right now. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone. Don't forget to smile and know that you are loved and when you smile you are spreading it around.
