Brenda,
I'm just so pleased to hear that things are looking up for you and your relationship(s).  I think it's a wonderful undertaking for you to keep a journal for Kayden.  I know when he gets older he'll appreciate it.  another 20 years or so.  I used to keep a journal for a couple of years.  I found them last year and read through them.  Boy, was I screwed up  Some of what I wrote though turned out to be right on the money.  After I read them, I shredded them.  They were too personal to take the chance that someone else might read them.

Saturday and Sunday are going to be beautiful.  I've got a dog show in Birch Run but Sunday I show at 9 am. so I'll have the rest of the day to enjoy the weather.  I can't wait.

Enjoy your time with Kayden, Grandma!

Jan, I have 3 journals that I kept in junior high. I was pretty shy and naive. I think most the stuff in there I made up or daydreamed about trying to make it more interesting! Sure didn't get into any deep "angst" or anything. Just junior high stuff, mostly "what I did today" stuff. Wi**** were more in depth. It would at least make for interesting reading! I know that writing does help me get to the bottom of things. Maybe that's why I hesitate to do it! I tend to bury my head in the sand and think I'm hiding from troubles. Picture that ostrich with her head in the sand and her big buttocks sticking up there for all the world to see! That would be me on many occassions. I  try to change but it's sure hard to take on the world when one is used to running or hiding from it.

I have Norfolk Terriers (or is it terrors?)  I used to breed them, but not anymore.  Mine are all finished and spayed or neutered, except one male that my son keeps.  Right now I'm showing a little black and tan Norfolk puppy for the breeder that I got my start from.  She can't physically show anymore, but loves it.  I'm certainly not a handler, but do ok in the ring.  This little black and tan, Krispie, is just a sweetheart and just turned six months old on the 10th.  We're just doing this show for the fun and experience of it.  We'll have three more shows and then go to Montgomery County, PA for the national terrier specialty in Oct.  I'm hoping to be fully recovered from my WLS by then and on my way to a smaller me.

Well, I'm back from the shows.  Friday was a terrier specialty and I took first in my class (there were two of us)  Saturday I took first and Sunday second.  Krispie really did good walking, but not so good on the table.  The other pup, Flirt, did good on the table but not so good walking.  She has a better tail set too.  It was a fun weekend nevertheless.  My friend Robin does the finishing touches with the grooming, but I get them to a point that they're not all hairy.  I think next time I'll get a minpin or something.  Wash and go.
I'll let you know if we go to cleveland.  That would be fun.

And I learn a new thing about you Judy. I didn't know you were a ****er person !! I love love  love them. I used to raise ****ers and groom them. Got a couple showing trophies.  Haven't had any since I went into rental homes, I thought I would just die with out my ****ers but honestly I don't miss the hair one bit. They are wonderful memories tho.

My now 90 yr old uncle used to show collies.  In fact two weeks ago I got a note in the mail from him.  Enclosed was a Best of Breed ribbon from a national show in Oklahoma City dated 1935.  He said he was rummaging through some boxes and found it.  He even knew it was from his dog 'Pepper'.  I'm going to take it to the shows with me for good luck from now on.  However, I forgot it this weekend.

Good Morning Eileen  and Friends,

The sun is just peeping over the horizon. I let Daddy get the little critter that had the audacity to want to eat about 2am. Now I hear someone starting to rattle their crib. Yesterday it was Hannah. She prefers a standing position for her morning "poop" so I came in to a grin and a telltale stench! Wonder who will greet me first today?

Bath time went great. Josh got home early and between the two of us we all 4 had a great time. The want to stand up and when Josh says "Sit on your bottom" down they go with a splash and a grin. Then after they were dressed in their jammies they had a wrestling match over a rattle. It was all in fun and they were definitely doing a little "mine. .no mine" game but smiling and giggling until Clara got bonked on the head with the rattle. Then it was "ba" time and bed by 7pm. They don't sleep much at day care so it can be grouchy time pretty quickly afte they get home. Just time for dinner, a little cuddling then down for the night or most of it at least!

As I was leaving daycare trying to back around 3 other cars I managed to back into a tree cracking a tail light. There go my good driver points! Darn, I hate to back up. My neck is arthritic and tho I looked in the mirror the tree must have been in my blind spot. Was barely moving so no one was shook up except me.

Today after I drop the girls off I'll come back home and get cleaned up. Then I'm off to Puyallup to meet Sharon A for lunch. Sharon doesn't post often but has met some of you in person. I know Janet W for sure. Then Sharon and I will go to see Michelle at Vitalady. I'm so excited to meet her in person. I have a lot of questions for her and am eager to sample some of her products.

Instead of Interstate5 I'm planning to take the "back way" east of the freeway. I love backroads and will take extra time to do so whenever I am traveling alone. Mike is an "as the crow flies" kind of guy and me? I take the road less traveled whenever possible.

Our daughter arrived safely on Maui and had made a Costco stop for food supplies when she called. They left Seattle about 10am and arrived on Maui about 1pm Maui time which is 3 hours ahead of our Pacific time. I hope she has a wonderful, relaxing time.

I loved George's comment yesterday about waking up on the right side of the dirt! Good one and so true. I try to think of that when I wake up sore or toss and turn. At least I'm awake!

You all have a good day. Take care of yourselves and do something unexpected for someone. It will come back to you many times.
