What's New Thursday?

Here I am, it's afternoon, AGAIN and I'm just now posting - so happy afternoon Eileen and all!

Happy B'day to Nic!  Sixteen is an awesome age to be!  He's a sweetie (I saw his picture).

Last night I went to the grands' first T-ball game and laughed the whole hour.  It's so precious to watch the little ones.  One little boy didn't realize that he was supposed to touch the runner with the ball so he went around and touched all his teammates instead.  The first base "man" would catch the ball but both he and the hitter would be afraid to run into each other and so they'd stop just short of first base and look at each other.  One little boy was so displeased with the fit of his "man protection" equipment that he'd grab hold of his pants in the front and yank it all around until he found a comfortable spot. And it was so much more fun to make squiggles in the dirt with shoes than to watch the ball, within inches, roll by.  The best part is that there's another game on Friday!

I just got back from having my knee x-rayed.  I fell on it last Halloween and it's not been right since.  I think all the replacement parts are OK, it's the real parts surrounding the joint that are messed up.

Tonight is a genealogy meeting--they always make me smile.  We're having a speaker tonight who wrote a book on Detroit's infamous Purple Gang.  I heard him speak once before, but I'm still looking forward to it.

I'm glad you're going to see Kayden tonight, Brenda.  Good luck.

All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press
on to your destination.

hello my OFFer friends,

Eileen, I so hope your boss will be okay.  This sounds a lot more serious than just "routine" though, doesn't it? Heck, medical technology is so much better than even 20 years ago, I bet he'll be just fine.

George, that game sounded very exciting. Great first impression, huh?

Got some lab reports back from the PCP. All "normal", no reason for any of that to be causing the foot cramps. So, I'll just keep on keeping on. Went and had a pelvic ultrasound, better yet, alien probing (sorry, guys). Of course the tech really can't tell you anything, but she did say she didn't se anything worrisome. That will keep me going  unitl Monday when I go back to the Gyn.

Sorry some of you are still so cold. It's warmed up here nicely, but the AC is on the fritz. Gary, great guy that he is, but so NOT talented in the handyman department, switched out our thermostat a few months ago. He had to call someone to help him with it and they got it done and the heater has worked just fine. Well, not the air!  It just blows warm air and that's it. So, the repair man is going to call and see if they can determine what's happening over the phone to avoid a service call. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Okay....better go get some laundry done.

Have a happy one!

Susan
