I made it...
Congratulations on your surgery and that it went well is always good news! In a few weeks that pain will be a distant memory and the joy of melting pounds will be exhilarating! A hearty pat on the back to you, Marlee!
peace, elaine
on to your destination.

Welcome home Marlee.
Tho it's been over 4 yrs I can still recall the feelings of those first few weeks as a "hybrid." It was totally new ground. I didn't have much pain. As a matter of fact were it not for those 6 little incisions I would not have been sure anything had been done. So afraid to put much of anything in except little sips. Afraid I would mess things up! But you know what? It worked and it continues to work when I do everything I am supposed to.
Best wishes to you. Take it slow and follow your doctor's advice. Ask questions when you have them. This is a great place to come anytime day or night. Sometimes in the middle of the night it is the ONLY place you can come without risking the wrath of waking someone up with a question that may seem unimportant to others but certainly not to "one of us." Take care of yourself.

Oh, it is so wonderful to hear about someone having surgery. It always brings back memories of that very important days to each of us. Sometimes it seems like yesterday, and other times it feels like I was never FAT!! But then I pull out the "before" pictures and it all come racing back.
Are you measuring yourself? Be sure you have pictures......I hated taking them before my surgery, but am so glad I have them now.
Good luck, and this is the place to come for questions, success stories. wow moments, laughter, and sharing of painful experiences that WILL be understood.

Thanks to all who have replied to my post. Your warm wishes, hugs and encouragement has meant more to me than you can ever begin to imagine. I would thank each and every one of you personally but forgive me, I'm just not quite up to that task yet. I am so thankful that I've found all of you and that you have so generously provided me with the support I've needed to make it this far. Bless you all!
