OT:Update on my son
thanks everyone, for all the well wishes.
I asked the Lord to let me know if he was alive, and thats exactly what he did, so I cant complain. James has been on the streets most of his life, so he has a network out there, he has made it this far. he told me once that when he gets really hungry and has no cash, he will find a busy restaurant and order a meal,. then go to the restroom and disapear without paying. He spent Christmas in a boxcar one year. So , he knows how to get by. It is sad, because I do remember that little guy with all the potential, but I have to face the reality instead of obsess over the dream.
My other three children and their children are all successful adults, so I can take comfort in that. James had problems all his life, but there wasnt any help to be found when he was small. then when he got older he refused it. He told me once that he loves the way he lives. What can I say to that?
So, the stress level has decreased immensely, I know he is ok physically.
Thats a big relief to me. I will try not to dwell on the things I have no control over, and enjoy the blessings that I have.
Thanks again. you all are the best!
Betsy

I hope the best comes out of this but it is in the Lord's hands.
We had a very well known hospital here, Menninger's, lots of famous people have been there, and they closed and moved to another state, plus the state hospital cutting back. We do have some characters that are out on the streets and should not be. They don't know how to keep on taking their medicine like they should. But our government and insurance companies make the decisions and people have to suffer the consequences.
Take care,
Mickey
