Mary,

That's a relief indeed. Selecting your surgery and getting insurance approval can often be two major hurdles. You are getting closer ...

This is so exciting, I can see it in your voice!  It makes me excited, too.  Sometimes deciding on which surgery is the best for you is a struggle, congratulations on making your decision.  I'm looking forward to hearing when your new birthday will be!

Great last words, thanks.

peace & hugs, elaine
All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press
on to your destination.

Hi Elaine,
I'd say let's celebrate and go out to eat, but I guess I need to get over that. lol   Yes, I am very excited.  It seems like I've reached a mile stone.  The end of the process is in sight and the reality of the surgery is at hand.  Ohhhhh gooooodie!!!!  Crazy to be excited about having a major surgery, but I am.  Hugs to you my friend, Mary

Congratulations!! You are just a couple of steps from the loser's bench now so better get prepared for the crazy and exciting thing that is going to be your life now.

Life is so exciting when you have wls.........so hard to comprehend just how nuts! But it is so worth every hoop you have had to jump and every moment of frustration that you have had to go through. I would redo every bit of it again if I had to....which I am so glad that I don't!

What an exciting time in your life and we are so glad that you can share it with us.......it keeps everything for us coming back in our mind again and we have to never forget where we came from......or we might go back there. I for one refuse to do that.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda you are an angel for sure!!!  All the stuff going on in your life, and a hernia repair on Monday, and you still have time for everyone.  My life is already nuts so I guess it will seem very "normal" post-op.  My husband and I laugh about that, sometimes saying that our schedules will change and we'll have a less intense time of it by next week.  Oh dear we say that every week, and next week has never arrived.

I know my life is going to change in ways I never imagined.  I may have some serious hoops to jump, but its better than not being alive to jump them.  I have two grandchildren who hardly know me.  I see them once a year for a few days.  My goal, and fondest wish, is to be healthy enough to be a real grandmother who plays with the grandkids and can fly, now fitting into a seat, to visit more often.

I don't know what the future holds, but it seems like a lot of good things and I can't wait to get there.

Hugging you Brenda, and keeping you close in my heart and prayers for a safe surgery,  Mary
