Hi, I am Kath, from Tucson, AZ and have recently joined OH.

I am reseaching WLS and will be attending a seminar on Tuesday night and have a consult with a surgeon on Thursday.

I am leaning towards AGB and the surgeon I am going to see does both Lap Band and Realize band.

I turned 50 last May, so I qualify for this group on those terms  (as hard as it is for me to believe that I am 50 --- time flies whether I am  having fun, or not, so I try to enjoy it as much as I can)

Good morning to you, Kath. I am so glad that you joined our little family here and I am sure that you will enjoy it as much as I do. Everyone is so wonderful and knowledge is abounding here. If there are questions there is someone here (and usually more than one) who knows the answers to them. We offer a shoulder to cry on, a friend to share a laugh with and warm gentle hugs and love to give to you.

Welcome Kath & best of luck on your surgery whatever you dicide. I don't believe you
will regret it!! Only that you did not do it sooner. From the other side of AZ I am in
Bullhead City, AZ (we were actually very plesant yesterday temp wise). We hit  100 last week, so a cool down is always nice when those high temps start showing up. I am sure they will be back next week & stick around for the rest of the summer.

Hi and welcome! I haven't been on this board long and the people here are very nice. I wish you the best on your journey.
 I am also the BIG 50 for a few more months at least! It has been no fun so far and time is not flying for me this year. It has been one of the worst years of my life but I won't bore you with that! Welcome and hope to see you posting on here often!

Hi Kath, welcome to the best board around.  You'll find so much encouragement here.  Making the choice to have WLS and the type of surgery is a very thought provoking process.  We all have different reasons for choosing what we have or about to have done.  But we are all the same, having WLS together sorta.
