Surgery Tomorrow

Hi.  I am having revision surgery tomorrow and would appreciate all of the well wishes/prayers/good vibes that you could send.  I had the Open RNY in 2003.  Lost 177 pounds.  I have pretty much kept it off, but need to lose an additional 100 pounds.  Had the stoma checked and it had stretched from 8cm to 22cm.  Doctor is going to fix it laproscopically.  Cut off the old and redo with staples and bovine tissue that will not stretch.  He says he does that now on all of his RNY.  Stoma stretching is common if you don't chew well enough and drink with meals.  I am happy to be getting this done.  Thanks, in advance.  I will keep you updated what I get near a computer.  Love, Diane

Diane, How exciting for you! I'll keep you held close to my heart and sending the most positive thoughts I have your way. I'm sure you'll do great. It's amazing what can be done. And lap instead of open makes SUCH a big difference. Hugs!

Diane,

I will be thinking good thoughts for you. That is quite a stoma stretch. Don't forget to walk, sip, and sip some more.
