Hi All, Its Humpday(Wednesday) April 29
Doing better these days. My son actually had a couple of nibbles for job offers. He has an offer from Sears. But it is only 20 hours a week, $6.25 an hour plus commission. Not good.
But he did get a call from UHaul. He had put in for a store manager's job. I think he said he interviews for that on Monday. Also, he called a motorcycle/skidoo/4wheeler store. They are looking for a salesman. Well, he sold himself to the boss. He told the guy he has no sales experience. But he owns a motorcycle. Had purchased a skidoo from the company. Rides 4 wheelers out at the dear lease all the time. He told the guy he knows the products and that is half the sale. The guy said he would pull his resume and get back with him.
I went to the Ballpark. Rangers won 5-4 in a very exciting, if not sloppily played game. But we will take the W. Supposed to go again tonight, but not sure if the weather is going to hold out.
Have a doc appt today. Checking my PSAs. Other blood stuff. BP. General tuneup with PCP.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
george i feel for ya on the job thing with your son-so hard when we are overqualified for something (like sears job) and yet there are simply not jobs out there!
we are getting ready for michael to try to get back on the workforce -workers comp may put him thru vocation rehab--the man is 69 -hard of hearing and has his right shoulder still messed up from his fall of 3/6/06 --and what jobs are there out there for him? he is a licensed chemical applicator/paint & body man/ has done bill collecting/USED to be able to work construction/has a bachelor's in pre environmental law and probly can't get a job at wallys as a greeter--- can't type for beans and is very computer illiterate-yes- we are thinking of moving to panama on the pensionado visa plan!!!!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning, ya'll.
Today I am finishing packing, getting groceries, cash etc. for my trip to Texas on Friday. My Sis and I are going down to 'see to' Mom. We have appts to see her 3 doctors, go to the bank, talk to a CPA, talk to management at the assisted living facility she lives in, all kinds of things that need to be done. We'll be there for 10 days. By then Di and I will either be ready to strangle Mom, each other or ourselves!!! But at least we'll KNOW what is going on!
I have to do all the last minute things today because tomorrow I will be at MY doctor having an ab ultrasound and such to check for gall stones. I can pretty much figure the day will be shot after all that.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Just a quick check in with everyone this morning. I have a lot of traveling to do for my job today so I need to get ready and head out soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with Brenda and Diane today. Hope all is going well for both of them.
Have a wonderful day everyone. I will try to check in again later.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d

ricks aunt was in hospital with pneumonia over the weekend. she was released yesterday and supposed to be going to her sisters (ricks moms) today.
took rick to unemployment yesterday for another seminar workshop...there they told them all that if they go to school to learn a new trade they will LOSE their unemployment benefits!!! now how stupid is that??? last week they told him they would help him get his CDL and now this week if he goes to school he loses his benefits!!! why?? because he isn't out looking for work!!!!! sighs.....wish his boss would call and say work is back and so are you!!!! life sucks being so frigging broke right now!!! got enough money to pay rent for may and then we are broke...all my income tax money is gone with the rent and other bills this time. what he gets from unemployment isn't enough to make ends meet. i can't get any more hours because i am at the limit as it is now. they do not go into overtime at all. jobs are hard to find to even consider getting another part time job for me...heck he can't even find a job to help us out!!!! GRRRRR
well have to get going need to go pay the rent and go to help his mom out at her cafe...have great day everyone....SMILE ;)
Good Morning Everyone!
Just a quick pop in to let you know I survived my week with the twins. It was exhausting, fun, demanding, frustrating, did I say exhausting? During the week they were in daycare from 8-5pm. I shouldn't have gotten tired but did. I had them for an hour before daycare: changing, dressing, feeding, loading up in those miserable infant rear facing car seats! Then after daycare from 5pm til about 7 or later when their daddy would get home from baseball games or practice.During the week most nights they slept soundly from 7pm-at least 6am. He's a teacher and coach.
Mike arrived on Friday and the weekend was full of twins! We went on a picnic meeting our son and his girlfriend in between Seattle and here at Fort Steilacoom. A beautiful day. There was an infant swing at the park with 4 "leg holes." Don't know if it was meant for it or not but we put the girls in back to back and they absolutely loved it. I'll post pictures on my profile sometime today.
Our daughter, Erin, had a wonderful, relaxing 5 days on Maui. She missed her family but it was good for her and she was ready to come home!
Now we're home. Happy to be home but missing them already. Lots of landscaping and planting stuff to do this week. Still pretty cool at night. Our spring is really late this year. Can't believe it's almost May!
Interesting visit with Michelle at Vitalady last week. I am determined to get a spreadsheet starting showing all of my lab results from the past 5 years. Need to schedule my yearly tests and find a new gynechologist. Mine of 30 years died last year and I just haven't had the courage to do the search for a new one. But must. . . Also want to schedule a bone density and I have a little growth on my right hand that looks suspicious. I've had one skin cancer removed from my face and this could possibly be one.
Think I'll go see my PCP and have her look at that, get prescription for physical therapy or massage for my arthritic neck which is so stiff again. Back, neck, arms. . . couldn't have anything to do with toting 20 lb twins all week could it? Will get labwork form and requests. Last time when they listed "malabsorption" as a code my insurance actually paid for most of the labs. Go figure.
Must get shower and get in gear. Hugs to all.

It's gray and gloomy here again and chilly ... 55 degrees. There
goes the Weather Channel desktop icon thundering again. I
guess that means rain today. Wi**** would decide whether it's
going to be spring or winter. I don't know what to wear!
I was busy for once at work, so that was good. With my boss off
for his heart surgery, the boss-in-charge, Darin, gave my extra
stuff (which I know will get pulled off in the morning), but I'd
rather be doing things. Plus I had the food stuff to post on the
web site. So I was there til 11 p.m. I don't feel quite so guilty
because I don't leave as early.
My boss, Andy, had his surgery on Monday and is doing well.
His wife told us he was sleepy Monday after surgery but
probably would welcome visitors later in the week. I think I'll
wait until he comes home, probably next week. I'll go see him
before work sometime, because he lives right near the office.
I'll call first, though, because I know sometimes after surgery
you're too beat to take visitors. You just want to nap.
Applied for one job online today at Lockheed Martin for a
communications editor. We'll see ... really don't have hope for
that. Found it on CareerBuilder. But, ya never know.
Well, off to check other job sites. They usually put new ones on
on Wednesday/Thursday. Have a good day.
