Aloha Susan.......Wow, that is downright scary what happened with the gun shot. My imagination can take off with that.....what if??? What if the gun were just slightly in a different position?? How very ironic though for a firearm instructor to shoot himself!! I don't think he'll ever live that down.

he was on property he thought was abandonded getting ready to harvest some rhubarb (yes! he loves rhubarb!!!) when a man and his wife pulled a gun and told him they owned the property..oy!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning to you, Carla and my OFF family. I hope that your trip is good and you are all safe.
Nothing much is happening here today. I am going to take a shower this morning while Bill is home. I am always afraid to take one of those with stitches and this time I have plenty of them. They are starting to itch and so that is a good sign. I aired out last night while Bill took a shower and that felt so good. He got a mirror for me and yes there is a tiny little belly button. It looks so little but there is gauze in it from the looks of it. I have never had such a tiny little belly button.....it looks like a skinny persons.
I think I am going back to bed in a few. I took some pain meds this morning about an hour ago and it is starting to make so tired. I went 8 hours between the pain meds this time so that is a good thing. I am so stiff when I get out of bed in the morning though. But I have to say I sleep good. But with the Tylenol with codeine I should. ha ha I am going to the doctor on Thursday morning at 10:30 to get the stitches and drains out. I won't miss either of them. The drains are such a pain in my bee hind. I still say that someone should invent little velcro holders to hold the tubes.
I held Misty this morning and gave her some of her morning loving. I haven't done that since I have been home. I knew that she missed it and so I did it and she just purred and purred so much and oh so loud. She is such a good little girl and I know that she misses all the loving and the holding she usually gets from me. I miss not giving her the water and her food. I know that sounds strange but I have a certain way of doing it and Bill doesn't do it like I do and that bothers me something terrible. I know that it is that dreaded OCD that makes me like that. I use to even match the hangers to the color of the clothes that I was hanging up. I worked to break that one and I accomplished it.
It is kind of chilly today. It is only going to be in the 50's today and then starting tomorrow it is going to start being warmer and sunny. I guess the rain is finally leaving for a few days and for me it is good riddance to it. I am so sick of wet and chilly weather.
Well, I had better get to going. I am going to check my mail and then off to bed I am going again. Boy is my life terribly boring lately. I will be glad when I can get in my car and go where I want to go. I am so looking forward to that. Boy I miss being a free woman complete with my coming and going.
Well I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers going up for everyone. Have a wonderful and happy day and don't forget to spread sunshine where you go........it comes back to you when you do that.

Aloha Brenda.....You sound like you are doing so great with your recovery from surgery. I am so thrilled for you. I remember so well the drains! I had one removed in the hospital and brought one home with me. I had to wear a muu muu because I didn't have any loose pants or shorts. Now, at five months after panniculectomy, the nuisance is almost gone from my memory, and what is left is a nice clean scar and a flat belly.
You are such a trooper and an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your story.

Good morning Carla and friends......Checking in today from Kentucky. Having a wonderful time. However, everyone wants to go out and eat each evening, different friends and family, of course. I've been good though, sticking to low fat or just not eating as much. I've been going home to CO on Monday.

Depot. Keeps all fingers & Toes & good thoughts & prayers that all goes well & I get
back to work. ( I will appreciate it)
Other than that my roommate (wanna be boyfriend) has the week off for vacation from
his job & will probably kill him (not really) by the end of the 9 days he is home. It is only day 2 & know it will be a very hard week. He really needs to find something else
to do besides drink Beer. I just keep praying for him & hope he gets it some day soon.
Probably after I am moved out & gone.
