What's new Sunday?
The condo association knows I'm in Chap. 13 bankruptcy. I was
trying to pay them an extra $100 a month, but with the pay cut,
I can't afford that now. I'm trying to keep up on my monthly
payments, which is a chore in itself. I paid them $2000 in February
out of my income tax refund, which was almost all of it. I want
to pay extra, but right now I'm struggling just to make ends meet.
There isn't any extra. I have to call the woman in charge back
tomorrow and try to explain what's going on. If they want to take
me to court, well, they're going to do it and they'll put a lien on my
condo, but there's not much else I can do. I just don't have the
money. I've explained all this to them. I have nothing of that much
value I can sell (I have a 13-year-old car ... and I need that to get
around).
I spent the last couple hours crying to my brother about this, but
his problems are even worse than mine. He may lose his job in
the next 4-6 weeks ... he works for AIG (well, it's called American
General Insurance now) and his boss asked about how they
could save money by cutting jobs. So he may be out of a job.
I get so stressed out by this financial stuff and then my body
breaks down. I was just thinking about how I could cut costs. I
may quit buying some of my prescriptions. My $80 copay on my
Topamax (migraine preventive) would save money, but then I'd
get migraines on a regular basis. Well, I could always call in
sick.

morning! we were up way too late last nite and i slept just a bit longer than everyone else- got coffee made and we have been chatting away--sooo good to see carla and so great to meet her gf--we have a lot in common and she and michael have hit it off well-!
roxiethewonderdog snuck out of the bedroom when michael got up to potty and beelined it for teh couch/bed where carla and BA were sleeping!! she adores carla!!!!!
got my obligatory haircut last nite! gradually getting rid of the blonde!!!can't wait til it's all gone...but it's short now!!!
anyhow- enjoying the company and not sure what the day will hold after they leave!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Wow, so much to read and comment on, so I'll send prayers to those in need and hope things get better for everyone. Times are definitely difficult for lots of people, and I hope it gets better soon. For those having health issues or loved ones with health issues, prayers are being uplifted for you.
Connie, your Nic sounds like a wonderful young man. I hope he enjoys camp in June.
As for reading about how difficult it is taking care of a mom with dementia, it's very challenging. My mom had dementia and also did not join in the activities at her beautiful assisted living. She died December 2007, and I miss her so much. Sometimes our moms take out their despair on those that are closest to them, at least my mom did with me. I also turned into the parent and she the child, and I tried so hard to make her happy and have a cheerful/upbeat view for her in encouragement. It was sad watching her so miserable for so long. Dementia is extremely difficult and often times the person withdraws as a way of meeting their comfort zone. I hope that things get better for you and your mom. Remember to take care of you, and many hugs to you for this challenging task you are undertaking.
