Hello Esther,
Princesses welcomed here!!  If you have a big sister guide, what a super blessing!!  She'll be so much good information, and having her right after surgery is wonderful too.  You would remain a princess through the first part when you are learning.  After she goes home, you'll have it all laid out and can be super successful.  We are always here too, and ready to help any way we can.  There are several newbies around (me), and this board is just awesome to patiently lead each of us through whatever it is we need help with.  Don't be afraid, we cater to princesses, lol.
Blessings on your decision making in this regard.

Walking with you on this journey, Mary

Hi Esther. Hope you enjoy it here on the OFF Board. There are so many helpful, friendly, nice people here.

My Sister and I had our RNY's 2 weeks apart. It helps to have a family member that knows what you are going through and to talk about things that are happening. It brings you closer.
Welcome aboard.

I can't thank you all enough for the wonderful introductions...and humor...from the inhabitants of OFF Land.  You have made me feel very welcome and I know that I will have a lot of support and encouragement when needed.

Princess Esther.  I kinda like the sound of that.
