What we are eating, and whats eating us,Sunday!
B- Chocolate Protein drink L-Healthy Choice Salisbury entree D-Baked Fish and Broc,a few spoons of brown rice.
I hope you all have a lovely day!

Sounds like you're having a pleasant weekend. It has been cool and rainy here, so my husband can't work in the yard or garden and is underfoot. I'm very busy writing a new book (I have already published one) and hubby pouts when he can't play Solitaire on the computer (I guess he's forgotten how to do it with a real pack of cards). But when I'm inspired to write, I just gotta write.
B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: vegetable "lasagna" (no pasta)
S: cheese stick
D: pork shoulder, asparagus with mustard vinaigrette
S: SF pudding
I have to do some minor whining. For the past few days, my band has been super tight (this happens from time to time) and I've been struggling to get a whole meal down. But then I wake up in the middle of the night so hungry that I can't go back to sleep. If I eat in the middle of the night, it's got to be very soft food or it won't go down, and I don't dare get right back in bed after I eat because being horizontal with food in my pouch is an invitation to reflux. Last night I tried having my pudding snack later than usual (30 min before bed), but I still woke up hungry. Anyway, the point of this story is it reminds me of a comment a local bandster made to me recently. She had band surgery 3 mos after me. She's a smart cookie who did plenty of research about WLS, but she said, "I honestly had no idea how much WORK this was going to be." By work, she meant all the lifestyle adjustments, and especially good band eating skills. Having WLS really is a lifetime project.

Jean, your friend is so right.WLS is a lifetime change, and our systems are not the same. I guess you have tried eating more meals since they are small, like more times a day?
With band you can get it loosened if it is too tight,I had too much to lose to even think about the band,I would have preferred it,that's for sure! The pudding sounds like it was not dense enough to hold you. I have to be honest,I sometimes wish since I have lost the weight,it could be taken away, but whose to say I would not gain again,I think I would, because I sometimes crave sandwiches,LOL.
A writer! Wow,what sort of author are you? I would love t check out your work. You are full of surprises, lady.
Take care, can't wait to hear from you again.
Smile...
Yes, sometimes all I can do is a few spoonfuls of food at a time, eaten frequently. It may seem like grazing, but I don't care! It can be frustrating to have a band that feels too tight one day and not the next day, but it seems to be affected by a lot of factors other than just the fill level in the band (hydration, sinus drainage, time of day, medications, etc.). I have had to have fill taken out a few times because I had reflux or couldn't do liquids.
I've published a novel, No Ransom (available at amazon.com if you search the title or my name, Jean McMillan). No Ransom might make you uncomfortable, though, because it's about a young woman with bipolar disease (might remind you of Olivia?) whose husband's family takes her daughter away from her, and what she goes through to get the child back.

I am sitting here and starting to fall asleep. I took my pain meds about 45 minutes ago and it i****ting hard. Sometimes it hits like this and other times it is just suttle. I am going to work on lowering the dose a bit.
Food today is going to be pretty much like it was yesterday. I got more protein in yesterday than the day before and I hope that it continues. I am not really planning anything since Bill is pretty mu*****harge of the food around here. I did make the steamed veggies yesterday. Yes,....I cut a slit in the package and put them in the microwave. Now excuse me while I take a bow please.

Have a wonderful day and know that I am sending you love and hugs along with lots of prayers going up for you and yours. Have a great day don't forget to smile that wonderful smile of yours. It will bring so much happiness to others and to you too.
Today is very quiet,I guess that is good. I went to Fry's yesterday, and had a panic attack,I was in tears by the time I got to the car and waited for Olivia, she was very edgy too!
The swine flu has us on edge,I think that is part of it. I also have to use a scooter to get around which is not great, then the store is so huge it is so hard to find things.
Things got better later in the day, thank God.
I pray a lot,try to push away fear and put faith in it's place.
The best to you,dear Brenda.

It's still raining, so we may have a lazy day today. It cleared up last evening, so we cooked some steak on the grill and we sat outside on our neighbor's dec****il after midnight - late for us since our lights usually go out around 9 p.m. each night. It was fun, but we're both tired today.
Have a great Sunday everyone.
