I saw an ad in the Sunday paper for a pillow you can sit on and it is specifically to take pressure off the tailbone. It's square and has a hole cut out of it toward the back of the pillow.  The website is WWW.DreamProductsCatalog.com.  the name of the item is therapeutic spinal alignment pillow. 12.97 and free shipping.  Since it's cheap you might want to give it a try.

Barb, you may not know it but you are such a life saver to me!!!!

I saw that pillow in the paper several weeks ago and kept the paper but of course it got tossed out. I have been watching for it ever since.

I broke my tailbone over 35 years ago and that was the start of all my back problems including the 2 herniated discs. I was shocked when the doctor told me that bit of information....I wouldn't have dreamed that happening.

I am still trying to clean but since I can only do a little bit here and there then I have to sit down (or fall down) and then it (TB) hurts like the dickens to sit on a pile of cushy pillows even. I will defintely check this out.

Aloha Barbara....and THANK YOU for this tidbit. I am going to order one for sure. I don't have a problem with my tailbone on a daily basis, but I sure do when I fly. Those seats are so small and I'm constantly twisting and changing positions because my boney tail bone aches.
