Linda,

Yeah, pain meds are wonderful for pain but not so good for anything else.

Speaking of pain, I'm going to see an orthopedic surgeon today about the pain in my hip that my PCP had diagnosed as bursitis from over-use.  I've had 2 shots of cortisone in that hip in the past year that didn't do much.  I just hate to think that I can't exercise any more.  I can't sleep at night because of the pain, and I want a second opinion.

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: lemon-herb catfish, cheesy broccoli & bacon casserole
S: cheese stick
D: pinto beans with cheese and salsa, mixed squash sauteed with black olives
S: a brownie (yes!  a brownie!)

Good Friday morning to you,  Linda! I hope that it is a bright and sunny day for you filled with happiness.

I can understand about the pain meds and the thing that Annette said about her innards turning to cement.........mine has from the pain meds and that is not a good thing at all......it makes me and my insides extremely upset!

I slept late this morning. I couldn't believe that it was almost 10 when I woke up. I haven't slept that late in I couldn't tell you how many years. I am not sure what made me do it this morning.

Bill and I have the little grandbaby all day tomorrow. Mom and Dad are moving and they wanted us to take him. We of course had to think about it...NOT! We have been waiting for Saturday to get here........I think it should have been here a couple of days ago! Bill is washing all the baby things we have for him so they are nice and fresh for the little angel of ours. I can't believe that tomorrow he is going to be 4 weeks old already. On the 18th he will be 1 month old. That just makes me sad....I want him to stay little for a bit longer and they just don't. But then again it is exciting to see what the little guy is going to be like the older he gets too.

Food today is just food. Nothing much that is for sure. This is what I am going with for now.

B: piece of toast
L: southwest veggie lean pocket~those things are so good
D: sausage with cheese and steamed veggies
S: probably nothing

I hope that today is good for you...and I am sending love and hugs to you along with prayers for you and yours. Make sure that you spread that smile around and let others know that happiness that we get when you smile...it is such a treat. You are a great person, my friend and don't you forget that for one minute. You have such a grace and love about you and the love and light of God shines through you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Feel better y'all.  We made it to FRIDAY and boy am I ready for the weekend.  No kids though.  Tom was coming but he has the flu and cancelled.  Sara called and they're hoping to come in August.

I did some retail therapy after work yesterday at 35% off and have a pair of work pants and several tops that fit now.  I'm walking with Steve tonight and watching the full moon come up.
Saturday will be gardening and Sunday I'll drive to Big Sur for lunch and music and nature.  Some of my favorite things.

B coffee/protein bar
L Smart Ones meal and banana
D not sure yet...maybe Mexican

Love, light and laughter, CV Linda
