GB Surgery over.....

I had my gallbladder surgery Tuesday May 4th...It really wasn't bad at all.  I could have gone home the same day but Dr. Bruderer wanted to keep me overnight as we live 220 mile from Bsmarck.  The gallbladder was jam-packed with stones....not even any bile  he told me.  I did feel kind of lousy the next day going home but not from the surgery itself but from a stiff neck, chills and flu like symptoms.  I feel a bit better today and I took a shower, shampooed and got dressed and walked around the house instead of staying in bed.  I am very tired as well.  Perhaps I was coming down with a cold/flu and it manifested itself the day after my GB surgery.
Who knows!  I just know that I will feel better each day.  The Doc was so pleased with my wt loss and how well I've done since No 2008.    I did get a bit of shopping in the day b/4 and bought "THREE" pairs of  LONG & NARROW shoes, 2 prs. of jeans, 2 tops, 2 prs. of capris.and  a jacket.  I really blew the bank but figured: "I'M WORTH IT" and am going to enjoy each new thing.
I thought I had posted before that I had gotten home but I must've been "drugged" up cuz I don't see it anywhere on here. So if you do see another post just chalk it up to Sandy's drug induced haze..... I hate when that happens and only take pain meds when I absolutely need them.  I'm a pretty cheap drunk!!  LOL

Hoping all my OFF Family are doing okay as well

Lotza Hugs,
Sandy

Yes, the drugs/booze hit us harder now. We can enjoy 'em quicker. I had a glass a beer the other day, drank a third of it and was snockered. (Well, it was 8 percent alcohol.)

Glad you're feeling better ... and  yes, you did deserve the new stuff. We all do. And you needed it, I'm sure, too.

Rest up.

Sandy, I am so glad that you are home now and starting to feel better. I know that my bff told me when I had my gall bladder out that I wouldn't know how bad I feel until it wasn't there and she was right. The more you get around it is going to let you know just how miserable you felt.

Enjoy the new stuff because you deserve it, honey. You have been through your fair share and now is the time to reap some rewards for your hard work. Take it and run is my motto!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good to have you home, and feeling up to posting.  Shopping, oh yes, retail therapy, is absolutely the best.  Yes,you are worth whatever it costs.  We're awfully glad to have you back.  Blessings on your continuing recovery.

glad to know you are home and safe!
have to comment on your dr's name- not one we often find anywhere!! when my kids were growing up, I was a Girl Scout leader and we had a Bruderer family- the bestest ppl !!! two of the girls were in my troop-one went to europe when we did! sorry-i digressed but it's not a common name!
take care sandy!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Glad you are home & feeling better. Just be careful & don't try & do too much just
because you feel good. You did have surgery!! Take care & I bet you won't believe
the difference in a few more days.
