But I don't think they (the ubiquitous they) said who to pray to. Or if prayers from undocumented aliens will be heard. And I don't know what will happen if a border-residing foreigner mistakenly thinks it applies to them.
Okay, if the rest of you are getting insensed by this, note that I have not insulted anyone's god/s. Or citizenship. I haven't even insulted "they," although I do question the whole premise.

You are to freakin' bad. Now, that you asked, I wonder just what it is that these guys are going to pray for? Let me guess: oh, that those miserable gays don't get to marry, that that awful black man step down, that all those sinners leave their sex offender priest, clergy, song leaders alone. Oh, wait, give someone money, or help them to love their neighbor as long as it doesn't require not turning them in to the manager for money or... well, you get my drift. Yeah, national day of prayer. Sometimes I read these prayers going up and wonder if this god they are praying to is really just sitting there waiting to zap down rent money or weight loss or a husband or an award or whatever else is on the little minds of the right wing fucktards. Yeah, I said it. Girl, you are getting me into somuch trouble. I try to stay off this board for the simple reasons that this board is no longer a wls board but a financial whine board, a religious board, and a board where people gang up on those of us who are not JUST LIKE THEM.

Do you remember the BC cartoon strip when the anteater's tongue would lash out and the sound effect was "ZOT!" ? Same effect when the lightning came down to smite some poor fool. It is now 11:59 and some seconds pm and I think we have avoided the "ZOT" for another year.

I missed you but didn't know they were listing us long lost members. I just got funding for one more year here at the big university; after that, I'm heading down to a smaller one that will pay okay, not great, but with teaching summers and fall and spring, I should bring it 80,000. Plus, I will still consult with the state on education reform and get money for that. So, I won't have to resort to turning my neighbors in over how many pets I see in their windows. Sorry, cann't help it. I'm a *****
My hubby and I are planning a trip out west. I went to a conference in San Francisco, and hooked up with an old friend of mine. So, hubby and I decided to head west and spend some much needed vacation time just resting. He and I both go non-stop.
You and I need to start our own thread like this one. No one would have to comment; although, as you see, they are reading them. One sure way to get a post read, put my name in the header. LOL. The fundies come running to see my blasphemy. Anyway, let's not let the religious right keep us away.
Oh, and guess what, I have a baby. Well, she just turned one and I've had her about a year. She is the cutest little thing. Right now she's curled up near my laptop and is the cutest little thing. I went back and forth between getting a kitty or a puppy, but finally decided on the kitty and wouldn't change a thing.
