TGIF-What's new?
Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Margo, this is the time of year when gas stations have to change to summer blend, so prices go up (we did a story about this
the first summer I worked here). Then they level off again unless
something else upsets the apple cart. Of course, it is also a
travel holiday, so that means it's time to gouge the public, too.
(See, I'm cynical, too.)
Can I say I miss my boss? I really like my boss, and I hope he
gets well soon (he had aortic valve surgery). The guy who's doing
the job in his place isn't as organized. Yesterday, he didn't tell
me what photos went with the main story. The story didn't come
in until late, and until I read the story, I didn't realize the photos
were different from what I had sent out. So then I had to
scramble to send out new photos. Which was good, in a way,
because this was a better photo (more interesting). And I had to
tear up my page to make it work. Aargh! A little unorganized.
Not much happening here ... kinda cloudy, kinda sunny, 68
degrees. My knee hurts, so I'm predicting rain. I need to get
going and do some book review reading.
Have a good day.

Good morning to you, Margo and my other OFF family. I must be in a better mood since I decided to change the color I am writing in......hmmm.....maybe things are looking up!
Bill doing a small load of baby things.....we are watching Kayden tomorrow while Mom and Dad are moving. Just think....a whole day of nothing but baby! How much greater than that can a person get? I think that Saturday should have been here a couple of days ago if you ask me. I am sure that Misty is going to be bent out of shape that is a sure thing! It is hard to believe that he is going to be 4 weeks old on Saturday and 1 month old on the 18th. Time is going way to fast. I want him to stay little for a while but I guess time has other thoughts.
The day here is very cloudy and damp feeling. I know that rain is coming but I haven't heard how much but I am sure it is a lot. You can just feel the dampness in the air and I don't like that. It makes me feel icky when we have that. There isn't a lot of air circulating around either. Oh well...there are a few more flowers that must need to bloom yet.
Bill is taking me to church on Sunday and that way I get there and I am not missing as much as I would otherwise. I am thankful for that. After church we are coming home and vegetate. I promised him that....it is something that we are both waiting for. Especially after having a baby here all day. We are new grandparents and we need to be broke in easy!
I better get going. I am going to get in the shower and get that done with. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and I am sending plenty of love and great big hugs to go with it. I am keeping everyone in prayers......as always for God's will to be done in our lives. I always pray for God's will to be done and not mine. Don't forget to smile and spread that sunshine to others......it might be the only happy thing that happens in their life today.

Karen, I didn't get any of the drains out...everything is still draining to much. I told him that I knew something was bleeding a bit and smelled too but yesterday morning I found out it was my navel. It looks terrible too for that matter. He said that I was probably going to lose some of the skin on the navel and then told me that could be normal. I have to wa**** everyday with a wash cloth and them pat it dry and put a gauze bandage on it. At least that way it isn't leaking all over my t shirt. I wish that I had found out where it was coming from before yesterday morning. Oh well...it is what it is. The navel hurts some but I am getting use to the 4 drains......as much as you can get use to something hanging from your insides....ha ha. I look flat and was telling Carla this afternoon that I was so use to lifting the flap of skin to dry under it that I noticed today when I went to do that there was no flap to lift. Oh my! That was quite a smile maker moment! On the whole I am feeling better but now I know it was the navel that was giving me pain. I had the pain like a pulling on the right side just over from the navel.
The doctor told me that I might get a drain or two out next week when I see him. He said that usually they don't come out before 2 weeks anyway. He said that usually they don't all come out at the same time either. Usually it is one or two and then later on another one or two to finish them off. I am just tired of having these things hanging....they are a pain in my bee hind! I have named them enny, meany, minny and moe.
So that is my story and I am sticking to it. Thanks so much for asking....I forgot to post on it. I will do it in the morning when I post on the morning thread. That is if I don't forget!

No matter what a person's past may have been, their future is spotless. Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!!
