mother's day
i know im a day ahead of schedule, but i want to wish all the moms on the
board the best of days tomorrow.
im meeting my sister today and we are taking my mom, who will celebrate
her 90th birthday this summer, out to lunch. she is amazing, survived the
war in europe and losing her parents to the Nazis. im so grateful for every
day she is well. she resides in an assisted living home and i think she has
more energy than me most days.
i hope someone you love will celebrate moms day with all of you on our special day tomorrow.
my boys wont be with me, but i did get a cute card from them with a bunch
of lottery tix and i won $16.00.
hubby who always gives me the speech (x36 years) that im not his mom
bought me beautiful carnations and a real funky musical card.
so enjoy, i loves you all.
hugs, jacki
Married Young and a military wife I didn't get to be around Mom on a regular basis. Now is my time to get to know her as the person she is. As she ages I hear her reflections on her life. What a treasure this is.
I'm truly blessed with a mother that has a heart of gold.

Thanks, and happy MD to you too. My husband bought me the sweetest little locket and he put our grands pictures on both sides. He says the same thing, woman, you ain't mother. But, he always buys me a nice piece of jewelry. I'm lucky to have a good man who lets me do what ever I want to do when ever I want to do it and he and have the same interests in books and movies.
So HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU MOTHERS.

My own mother has been gone for a long time now (1986) and I miss her. There are so many times when it would have been nice to have her input on something happening life. Mostly I wish I'd asked her more questions about what her life was like as a child/young woman.
Let me add my wishes for a Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of you, too.

thanks jacki...best to you as well...hope your day with your mom was all you hoped for!
it will be michael and me - i got the obligatory cards from 2 of my 3 today- nice cards-don't get me wrong-and my daughter's brought tears...a potted rose bush was waiting alst nite when we got home- perishable mail! very pretty but too much money....
i'll call my mom- will be with her in two weeks for our cemetery tour and my adopted mom has been gone since 1983.....
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
