good morning

i know im a day ahead of schedule, but i want to wish all the moms on the
board the best of days tomorrow.

im meeting my sister today and we are taking my mom, who will celebrate
her 90th birthday this summer, out to lunch.  she is amazing, survived the
war in europe and losing her parents to the Nazis.  im so grateful for every
day she is well.  she resides in an assisted living home and i think she has
more energy than me most days.

i hope someone you love will celebrate moms day with all of you on our special day tomorrow.
my boys wont be with me, but i did get a cute card from them with a bunch
of lottery tix and i won $16.00.

hubby who always gives me the speech (x36 years) that im not his mom
bought me beautiful carnations and a real funky musical card.

so enjoy, i loves you all.

hugs, jacki

Mother's Day is always a time of reflection for me.  My mother and I share an apartment so I'm fortunate to have quality time with her.

Married Young and a military wife I didn't get to be around Mom on a regular basis. Now is my time to get to know her as the person she is.  As she ages I hear her reflections on her life.  What a treasure this is.

I'm truly blessed with a mother that has a heart of gold.

Thanks, and happy MD to you too.  My husband bought me the sweetest little locket and he put our grands pictures on both sides.  He says the same thing, woman, you ain't mother.  But, he always buys me a nice piece of jewelry.  I'm lucky to have a good man who lets me do what ever I want to do when ever I want to do it and he and have the same interests in books and movies.

So HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU MOTHERS.

Aloha Jacki....and thanks for the mother's day wishes. I, too, will not be with my children, and will miss them as I always do.

My own mother has been gone for a long time now (1986) and I miss her. There are so many times when it would have been nice to have her input on something happening life. Mostly I wish I'd asked her more questions about what her life was like as a child/young woman.

Let me add my wishes for a Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of you, too.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Thanks and the same to all of you!
My mother has been gone 10 years but she suffered with Alzheimer's for the last 15 years of her life so it was a relief when she was set free.

Happy Mother's Day back at you Jacki- and all of the other mothers that reside here. I will be spending the day with my mother (almost 84 and healthy as can be) and my daughter (24). My husband, living brothers and my sister-in-law will be with us also.

i'll call my mom- will be with her in two weeks for our cemetery tour and my adopted mom has been gone since 1983.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I'll call my mom; I'll see her in June for her birthday.

I'm a cat mom, so I'm sure I'll get some loving from them.

Jacki, what a nice gesture.....Happy Mom's Day to you Jacki and All the Mom's here on OFF.  I lost my Mom in 2002 at the age of 88 and I am so thankful I had her that long.  My daughter sent me the loveliest card  (and I cried of course) from Salt Lake.  She will be going to Argentina to visit her g.friend's parents there in June  and then she will be moving to Phoenix.  She is in broadcasting and does on-air radio work and voice overs and commercials for large companies.  Our son lives here in the same town and we will be doing brunch with he , his wife and their daughter, Haylee tomorrow after church.
Love to all of you,
Sandy

Happy Mother's Day Jacki and all of you here.  I'm living in a different state than my Mom and my children.  I celebrated Mother's Day with my Mom in KY last week but will call her tomorrow.  My DIL will graduate with her Masters tomorrow so a busy day for my son and his family as they have guests staying with them.  I've already received my gift from my daughter, Godiva chocolates!  She said, "since you couldn't have them last year because of the diabetes, I hope you enjoy them this year".  She doesn't understand.  But, I was grateful, it was the thought and that means so much to me.  My DH and I are camping this weekend on a get-away from the house/work getaway.  So, it's all good.  We are all happy, healthy and loved.
Wishing you the same.  Happy Mother's Day, friends!
Big hugs,
Pat A
