Monday, Monday. . . What's Happening?
Hi Millie,
She was still in Florida and not returning until after we left to come to VA. I won't know anything until we go home next week.
Her nephew took over after I pleaded that it was a health risk for me to be in the house. At least two of the cats were roaming my back yard so he must have let those two loose. They always like the catnip growing in my planters.
A very sad situation.

annette---i haven't asked him what color he would like to see--i bought beige so it would blend with other clothes- i am working on maybe 2 color schemes- blues and beiges/browns.... he's probly thinking tropics like hawaii and i am thinking beige won't be hot like black--panama is 8* above the equator so i don't wanna roast!!!
as for what i like- well- i would love to be taller...and then anything slinky!!! at 5'1"-well- and still hippy ....you have mnet me- not any thinner now than i was then! just my hair is reeaaaallll short!!!i saw a pretty purple..or an aqua..

Beige is good because you can toss on so many other colors to give it pizzaazzzz. Red, green, purple, yellow - the entire rainbow. Smart shopping in my thinking.

As long as I know which shopping I am doing, I am fine.
If I go in with a list, bing, bang, bung. Gone. You don't want to go grocery shopping with me. I have my list and I move. I go in at 6:45 AM and am normally out of the store by 7:05 - the latest.

Morning all,
I had a really nice day yesterday. Went to early church and Bible class, then came home and made a s/f rhubarb crisp from my own little rhubarb plant. My DS has been catching lots of blue gills, so they came and we fried up four skillets full of fish, PLUS they found a nice mess of morel mushrooms and that made a skillet full of them.
Oh so good, but I didn't eat too many of the morels - they are so rich
but yummy. I also made cole slaw, fried tators and onions, and cottage cheese jello salad. We were all stuffed and my stomach hurt from the six or so fillets I managed to eat. My DIL ordered a 24 oz. insulated drink container for me, but it didn't come in yet. I did get a really special card from them, and an e-card from my step-son.
Off to work this morning. This is my last week of piano students - our recital is next Sunday and then I am retiring from teaching. Have mixed feelings about that, but it's time to do something else. I am actually thinking about having an exchange student this fall/winter, hopefully from Germany.

Good morning to you, dear Karen and my other OFF siblings. I hope that today is much better than yesterday was but I am sure that tomorrow will be better than today.
It sounds like everyone had a nice Mother's Day and that is fantastic. We went to church and then Bill took me to lunch and then to Wal Mart to get somethings that we needed and things that we didn't also. I am not sure why that always happens when we go shopping...we always come home with things that we don't need. ha ha The rest of the day we did nothing and enjoyed that. Bill slept in the recliner most of the evening and that was alright with me. I went to bed early...about 8 and watched television and fell asleep before the news came on.......I finished The Unit and during the commercials I was out like a light.
This morning I have to pack some clothes and get ready for Carla to come get me. We are going up to Michigan to take her cousin home and then we are picking up Nan H. and then spending the night at Eileen's house. I will be getting home sometime tomorrow night. I am looking forward to it but part of me is afraid since I am still having problems with the tummy. Not a lot of pain but it seems like there is a lot of pulling. I think that most of that is the stitches. Several more of the steri strips came off last night. There is one on my right hip that when I lay on it the darn things feels like a boulder under that strip. I told Bill it is funny how something as small as a stitch can feel like a boulder but they do. Kind of like when you get something in your eye. ha ha
The day is beautiful today....sunny and just gorgeous. The birds are chirping and chatting with each other. I am not sure what the temperature is going to be since I missed the weather last night. Oh well!
I better get going. I got some packing to do and then I have to make Bill's lunch for work today. Tomorrows lunch...well he is on his own for that. I will go to any lengths to get out of fixing a lunch....and this time it is a trip to Michigan!

I got some very pretty sterling silver earings for mothers day.
We had a very nice day. Went out to brunch with a friend I havent seen in 35 years
.I had to go to Sams club to get some stuff for dinner last night and call my sister in law Carls sister and she was rattling off things she wanted me to get for her. about 100.00 worth. I didnt get it cause I knew she wouldnt pay me for it. then she wanted me to pick her up and take her with me. I told her now. Cause if she fell I couldnt pick her up. I wont take her in the car with me.
So she called carl and told him I wouldnt get the stuff for her. He told her good cause He wasnt going to pay for it either. boy was she mad!!!!!
Anyway I need to get dressed....
