What's New Sunday, Mothers Day Edition
I know it is just past midnight in the east, but I wanted to make sure no one mistook my Happy Mothers Day thread to be the what's new thread. Wanted the mothers to have the spotlight there.
Eileen, just wanted to say, tonight was a good game. We got the L, you got the W. Rubber game Sunday afternoon. Even though it is Mothers Day, none of the mothers in my family would deprive me the opportunity to watch the game. I hope.
Everyone have a great day.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning to you, dear brother George and all my OFF siblings. I hope that today is great for each and every one of you and nothing but happiness in your lives today.
My day was full of Kayden and happiness. We ended up having him for 11 hours and most of them were wonderful. Then it started......the gas on his stomach was so bad I just thought that my heart was going to break in two from the way he just yelled and cried. Finally Bill went to get to gas drops and they instantly (well almost instantly) helped the poor little guy and he fell asleep in Grandpa's arms. He stopped nursing about a week ago and so he is on formula....I told Shawn that it is not unusual for babies to have an allergy to milk and he probably needs soy. So they are going to look into that for him. Other than the gas problem the day was heaven....it is the aftermath today that is the part Grandpa especially can't stand. He got to carry the car seat with Kayden in it most of the day and now his arms are sore. Bless his heart...he was such a help yesterday and then other times he was like his head was up in the clouds and never thought of what he needed to do. I told him that it has been a long time since he had to deal with a baby wasn't it....he agreed. It has been 29 years since Shawn was that age. I laugh at all the thoughts that are going into the journal for Kayden from Grandma.
Today is church and then I think that Bill is wanting to take me to dinner but I am not sure. He is driving me to church this morning and we are picking up Brittany since she is accolyting this month on the Sunday's that she gets to go to church. She loves going to church and is quite the social butterfly too. She loves to socialize with everyone.
The day is beautiful and sunny. I can just imagine hearing the birds singing and chatting with each other but I don't have the door open so I can only hear it in my head. But then again it should be normal for me to hear the birds chatting since I hear other voices too......
....just kidding.
I got some nice things for Mother's Day this year......a shirt that says Mom on it from Bill for my 3 little babies that I can only imagine how they would be now and a charm bracelet from Kayden that has a heart on it that says Grandma on one side. The other side says....Grandma never runs out of cookies or love. I love it. I also got a long stem red rose. Maybe that is from Misty and Bill together. I got woke up early this morning from Misty and she was I am sure wishing me a happy Mother's day today. She has been so loving. Probably from the trauma of having to share us with Kayden yesterday. She is so use to being the only baby around here.
I better go .........I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and the greatest of Mother's Days to the some of the best Mother's that have been put on this earth. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers for all of you and yours. Don't forget to smile...it might be the only happiness that someone gets today.

Aloha Brenda......My little grandson, Brock, is allergic to dairy, and has been since a tiny baby. He is now almost five and still does NOT eat dairy although his doc says he will outgrow this allergy before long. It was a challenge feeding the three boys when I was there for 10 days....I had to make sure that Brocky did NOT eat any cheese, anything with milk in it, etc.
I'm so glad you had a great day with your baby! And...I'm also glad that you did not deny yourself the joy of loving this little guy.
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen

We watched Lindsay's softball game so I get to talk baseball today. (don't faint) The coach started another girl as pitcher. She managed to walk in 3 runs for their team that way .. in the FIRST inning. Then he put in our Lindsay, the usual pitcher. Apparently it is odd to switch pitchers in the middle of an inning, but he did.
Lindsay struck out 15 batters, not one person from the other team got on base. She's a little tornado and the crowd went wild.
That may not be exactly 'baseball language', but the best I can muster.
Happy Mother's Day to all
