What's New Sunday, Mothers Day Edition
Hi George and my OFF family:
Yes, George, it was a good game last night. I got home after midnight and watched it on DVR, even though I already knew
the result ... had to see how it happened. John Danks was awesome and should've gotten the win, but Matt Thornton blew
it for him. I hope today's game is as good.
Worked last night in sports and we had early deadlines ... which we all made, but then there was a problem with sending one
page because of an ad. So the first edition didn't get done on
time anyway. Had my one page to do, then a second page for the
3-star edition.
Rough night when I tried to sleep ... had a mild asthma attack
and no inhaler (had a sample one that was expired and threw away,
and no money this week to get the prescription filled).
Woke up gagging and had to try to calm myself down and quit coughing with a cough drop (eventually I did). Read for awhile
and finally fell back to sleep after 4. Got woken up by the phone
at 10:30, so didn't sleep very well.
Talked to mom already today, wished her a happy Mother's Day; she and my brother Ed and sister-in-law Margaret are going to see Margaret's new grandchild, born about 2 weeks ago. Then talked to my
friend Mary Kay, who's headed back north after spending the winter in Baton Rouge. She cried a lot about her dog.
Other that than, not much. Trying to get ready for Carla
and Brenda on Monday. Not in the mood to do much. Kinda
tired
and out of it.
Have a good day.

This has just been a glorious weekend... expensive, but glorious.
Went to dinner last night with my family...sons, DIL, grandkids... it was fun.. then back to their house to play RockBand on the WII.
This morning, the NEW $4... disappointing but friends were there... and picked son up and we found a Taqueria in Grapevine that looked like real Mexican food so I had some migas... then to Central Market, William Sonoma, Costco, and Sprouts.
Haven't done a lick of anything I needed to do and about to head out AGAIN and go to Wallyworld for an actual live hanging basket... or not.... they do take commitment, don't they?
Hope you all had a great Mother's Day.
Janet
