Hello sweet Boo! Thank you for your prayers. I know what you mean about one foot in front of the other. I keep you and yours in my prayers all the time. I burn candles for Nic as you know.
You are a ray of sunshine! Thank you for being here.

Dear Sweet  Linda...Certainly will I include your precious neice in prayer.  You must be so heartsick.  You are such a loving and caring person and she is so lucky to have you as an Auntie.  This makes me so sad also.  This little girl has her whole life ahead of her.  May God Bless Her and You too Linda.

Hello Miss Sandy,I hope you are doing well. You are very special and I thank you for your prayers.
Indeed, she has her whole life ahead of her,my niece, and I wish for her to have a happy, healthy one. Her body is not fully developed,so she can not be a candidate of WLS,something a ignorant person would think plausable though...smile.
I pray for all young people who have this disease,I pray they can live in recovery.
I was not heavy at her age,and yes,my heart weeps for her.
God bless you Sandy.
Hugs..

Lap Band on 05/21/07 with
Hi Linda,
I've been away for a while.  Simply, because my eating has been out of control.  I've gained 10 lbs.  I'm so grateful that I got some more saline in my lap band and appear to be able to curb my eating again.  It just goes to show that we are never "cured".  If we don't follow the usual guidelines for weight loss . . . reduced intake, attention to what goes into our bodies and a daily exercise regimen we start sliding back.
Even though I haven't contributed in the last few months, I check in on you daily.  Thank you! Seeing everyone's food posts daily is an incentive to get back on track.

B - Protein Bar
L - Wendy's Chili with cheese
D - Grilled chicken with veggies
S - Vanilla Light n' Fit yogurt with blueberries

As a person I know always says, "Carry On".

Bev!! I missed you,and I have thought of you often. I am so happy you are active here again.
Indeed, this is a life long battle and we have to always be aware of it and all it's pit falls.
I hope you will continue to be a voice here, and the inspiration you can be to others.
I first found OFF when I had gained 10 pounds, now that was about 100 pounds ago...smile.
These people are the nicest, most positive, loving people I have ever encountered. They make me believe in One World,as Bob Marley sang about.
Welcome back Bev,welcome home.

Linda,

That is so sad about your niece.  It reminds me of a friend of mine who was slightly underweight when her parents adopted her.   This was in the 1950's, when a fat baby was a healthy baby.  So they force-fed her, and she did indeed gain weight.  She was about 350 lbs (at 5'3") when she graduated from high school, and has struggled with her weight ever since then.  Aside from the general health problems, her emotional problems have been enormous.  (Not to say that they'd disappear if she weren't obese.)

My project for today was to clean the room we had been using as the dogs' bedroom.  It used to be a storage room, with shelving where we kept canned goods, etc.  It has been cleaned only in a cursory way since our puppies were born in December (I know, I'm a terrible housekeeper).  While I was working, mice started running across the floor (I counted 3).  I also found 2 mousetraps, 1 with a dead mouse in it.  How can mice have been living in there with FIVE dogs?  Obviously these dogs have not been earning their keep.  I did my best to ignore the mice, took everything off the shelving, wiped/dusted everything, replaced the shelf paper, put it all back, took out several loads of trash, swept and mopped the floor.  I feel virtuous but exhausted.

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: steak w/ horseradish sauce, jicama & orange salad
S: cheese stick
D: chicken "sausage" patties, cucumbers in dill sauce
S: SF pudding

Jean,I am a victim of force feeding,my parents did not believe thin was healthy.
I eventually gained weight, and learned to eat without feeling.
The extra weight I gained was due to steroids,as I was a severe asthmatic.
I am so grateful that I am better today!
LOL,,,you are NOT a bad housekeeper, just finished cleaning mom's silver I used for Christmas!

Dear Linda,
My daughter weighs well over 300 pounds so I understand your concern regarding your niece.  I've been talking with her about my experiences with WLS but her father discourages her from surgery.  It is so difficult for her to keep up with her two little ones and one isn't even walking yet.  She is only 30 but she has intense back pain, high cholesterol, depression and I'm very worried about her.  I will certainly hold a good thought for your niece too.

Not much new here.  My bariatric surgeon acknowledged that my weight loss is slow (DUH!) but my blood pressure is low, I have more energy, I'm getting compliments on my new figure and I have lost 67 pounds.  That feels like success to me.  Toodles, CV Linda

Hiya CV,thank you for keeping my niece in your thoughts. Light a candle, dance by the light of the moon, anything positive...LOL.
CV,you are happy with yourself, your body, this is what counts.
Olivia is 33 she had wls and is happier than she was. Of course we know this surgery does not fix our heads...
You are a ray of sunshine,I want to come and sit in your yard...it sounds so lovely.
Enjoy your day,sweet lady.
