What we are eating and what's eating us,Friday!
Jeane,
Have you tried Eggbeaters instead of scrambling real eggs?
For some reason, I can get Eggbeaters down more easily than real scrambled eggs.
Worth a try, anyway.

Linda,
Probably, too much has already been said on this subject, but I have to tell you that your handling of lightswitch's response to your comments about your niece yesterday was masterful, and more tolerant than I could have managed. And thanks for reminding us about the block button. That's the second time I've used it since joining OH.
My projects for today: go to aerobics class, start making 2 baby blankets (one for my niece and one for a friend), and go to physical therapy.
My old OA sponsor used to talk about "having sanity around food". I did achieve that at times when I was in OA. Since having WLS, the insanity still lurks in the background, but I now understand how having sanity around food can make your whole life easier to manage. On the lap-band forum we often debate whether you need to have a program in order to succeed with WLS. There is a great lady there, Kate, who always says, "No." She and I have amicably agreed to disagree! I always say,"Yes, you need a program." Or I do, anyway.
B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: chicken sausage patty, cucumbers in dill sauce
S: cheese stick
D: salmon w/ lemon-thyme vinaigrette, pickled asparagus (homemade!), maybe a few bites
of barley
S: SF pudding

Hiya Jean,I love the way you even write your posts! I am a child of the 60's,therefore very tolerant. I honestly try to listen and understand others opinion and stances. When you run out of valid points, and move to attack mode,I no longer wish to engage...smile.
Funny,it was the 2nd time I used the block button also,I feel so much better now.
I make blankets also, and ahgans. I am making one for my ex MIL,she is sweet, and lost a daughter a few months ago, whom I also loved.
OA was great for me,once going through it,you never look at food the same again!
I hear ya,I need a program too. One athiest in my OA group said she did not believe in God but used the name in this way:
G-Good
O-Orderly
D-Direction
I never forgot that. Funny how people with good minds can adjust themselves to tolerance and love of others. Most athiests are not evil people, sadly, some are.
Funny, the misguided ones can say they do not believe in God,but then can go on and tell you what He will do,and what He cares about.LOL!
I hope you have a great day,and enjoy all of your doggies!

Hiya sis! Routine is a wonderful thing indeed! You are sleeping like a baby because you are running around all day,the kids help to make this happen...smile.
I love my grands twice a day.Love to see them come over, love to see them go home. Yet,of course I enjoy them and always love them.
I know you are building wonderful memories, and I want to see pics!
Love you,always.

Oh happy day! The week has been long and stressful and I'm looking forward to some R&R this weekend. The wood chip mulch hasn't been delivered yet so I may get to some postponed housework. Have to take my online course for the speeding ticket too.
And get my thoughts together for my retirement presentation to the board next week. Just have to lay out the facts. Our ex-chief says that wasn't what was promised to cover her butt for not making it happen so the meeting may not be pretty. But I'll do the best I can and let the bodies fall where they may.
Have worked out the numbers and I'll be OK without all my years of service but more OK with them. Maybe that will help me to not get too emotional. I've burst into tears during the last two meetings with our new chief.
Food is basically the same.
Onward and upward, CV Linda

Hi CV,I hope you manage not to cry at the meeting. Most of all,I hope your retirement is protected,it is so sad that people are losing theirs in our country.
I hope you do have a relaxing menu,I get lost in projects some time, and last night I crocheted in my sleep,of course I was dreaming...I hate when that happens....smile.
I look forward to hearing how your weekend goes.
Take care!

Good Afternoon and hello Linda.
Things are going better.
B- 1 scrambled egg w/salsa
L- cheeseburger patty no bun and Dannon light & fit
S- laughing cow cheese
D- some type of fish and a veggie
S- ricotta cheese w/ cinnamon & splenda
Been drinking meadow tea today had about 24 oz so far. This is by biggest downfall. Cant get all the liquids. If I get the liquids in, I cant eat as much. Will drink some isopure in a little bit to get more protein.
sip sipping

Hi JoAnn,I sip all the time too! I remember thinking after the surgery that there was always something going in my mouth, and so it has stayed!
Your menu looks good,I still have to watch my protein, make sure I get it all in.
You will find your balance...smile.
It is great to hear from you.
Keep on sipping girl...LOL!
