hey everyone

well ive decided its time to get this old bod moving again, and i
contacted my exercise partner and we are heading to the gym
sunday morning.  i havent been there since my accident, so this
is a big step for me.

i think i can do the machines that just use arms and upper body
movement.  also should be able to ride the recumbent exercise
bike as i have tried that at physical therapy.

its a start, i need to move again.  i also walked around the block
the other night, with my cane, but i did make it around once.  it
felt good, although i was walking at a snails pace.  ill take it though

have a great weekend everyone,

be safe and well, jacki

Jacki...Hey girl, that's great news!!  It's been a long long haul for you since your accident so I'm so happy to hear you are able to be "mobile" once again.  Just be careful and slow down walking around the block...there just may be radar catching you in a speed trap. hahaha......Keep up the good work Jacki.
Happy for you.

slow but sure wins the race!!! you have come a long way, baby!!! mobility regained has to feel awesome!!!!!!!!!! just don't overdo.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Jacki, it sure sounds like you are really up and at 'em now, girl! You have had a long time of recouperation and now there is going to be no holding you down. You are getting back to our old Jacki and we couldn't be happier.

Make sure you take it easy and just do what you can. After all there is no race to run and we all know that slow growth is good growth.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I have free membership to the university gym and love it once I get there but it's making myself go that is my problem.  I need to start working on building up my abdominal muscles and my arms because I've been approved for some plastics but the surgeon wants me to build a little muscle first.  My legs, he says, are great, but my arms and belly need work.  So, I'm going to do some muscle training and by the end of summer, I'm getting some of this hanging skin whacked off.

Good luck at the gym.
