OK, gonna try this again...browser problems.
Ola!! I have a choice to do housework or swim, which one do you think will win??
Today I ate cream cheese on melba toast, fettichini (sp) alfredo with broc,2 beef hot dogs with no nitrates,a slice of wheat bread,an apple.
My doc wants me to gain 20 pounds back, tell ya what,it ain't gonna happen,I am stuffed to the gills and I do not like it!

Good morning to you, Miss Linda! It was my honor to talk with you on the phone. You are such an inspiration to me and I appreciate the things that you do and those you are about to do.

I am not sure what the food is going to be like today. We have a dinner for my bff's daughter who just graduated with honors from Indiana University and will be entering graduate school this fall. I am so proud of her....and to think that she is the one that said at about the age of 5 "Do you have to go to college to be a check out girl at Costas?" She has come a long way....since Costas was a grocery store here. Her favorite place to eat is Aladdin's Pita which is of course Mediterranean food. I love that stuff too. But I do know one thing.....since my surgery I can't indulge on any food to much. I eat just a tiny bit and feel so full that I can't hardly stand it.

B: sf oatmeal
L: slim fast low carb shake mixed with milk to thin it out
D: dinner out

Have a wonderful day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for you and yours. Smile that beautiful smile of yours and make someones day a happy one. It will bring joy to them and to you. And if you ask me the swimming is going to win over the housework!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi again Miss Brenda,I am still up because I am afraid to lay down until my tummy feels better, like all the food has digested.
I was thinking how much this stuffed feeling feels like old times.
It has been hours since I ate and I still feel full!!
This is not going to happen again!!
Have a great day,and do not shake too much of a tail feather!!

Good morning Sunshine!

You know, that gaining weight back thing is some scary business!!!  last year when I lost 10lbs from surgery I had the hardest time getting someone to help me regain weight in a healthy way. Oh sure, we all know how to gain weight....we're champions at that, but how do you do it without eating a bag of chips and a bunch of crapola???

We can't eat MORE, but we can change some things to accomplish what you need to do. I changed from fat free milk to whole, same with cheese....stopped buying 2% and got the regular stuff.  Added avocado to salads and sandwiches, ate more almonds, and added 1/2 peanut butter and sugar free jelly sandwiches as snacks twice a day.

It took me about 3 months to slowly get back to 125 and I've maintained that for a year now. Hope these suggestions help. I couldn't stand feeling that stuffed to the gills feeling ever again either!

Hugs and smoochies

Susan

Susan, thank you for the good advice,I will put it in motion. I never thought this would be an issue for me.
I bet my system will be tolerant of this much more.
I hope your DH is doing well.
Hugs!

Good morning,
For me "gain" has been a 4 letter word. At one point I hit 110 lbs and it wasn't pretty. Susan gave you good advice. Eating small amounts of good choices works best.

I am sitting here waiting for Tom to return to VA. He left last Tuesday and it has felt like forever. Tomorrow we head home.

Have fun swimming. Housework will wait.

Kisses
