Got my date

My date is August 10th.  What's with these surgeons taking vacations in the summer anyway?  I don't want to wait almost three months.  One good thing is that he said I'm a good candidate for the move up list, in case someone cancels, they could move me up into their slot without having to do the prep week.  I guess because my BMI is 'only' 40.8.  I hate being considered a lightweight, because I'm not by any standards.  I'm still morbidly obese.  Oh well, everyone says the time will fly by and it'll be my turn sooner than I think.  What I think is that three months is a long time.

Jan,  I'm so glad you finally got your date, sorry that it's not as soon as you wanted though.  We will all be right here to cheer you on this summer.  The time will soon pass and we'll be dusting off your spot on the loser's bench.  I guess I was a lightweight too but it's been a fun trip so far.  Hang in there, girly.

Pat, I was out in Littleton last August with a couple of girlfriends.  We drove out to see one of our poker buddies, Chris, that moved out there.  She has a really nice condo.  We traveled all around and really enjoyed ourselves.  We stayed at her sister's 'mountain house' for three days and hit more places.  I loved it out there.

Oh Jan, I wish I had known.  Of course, I had my RNY on Aug. 11th.  I would have loved to have met you.  Let me know if you are ever back in my neck of the woods, ok?

Jani! I am so happy for you. I know it seems like a long time,but maybe it will be moved up.
In a way,it will be nice to have a rested doctor taking care of you..smile.

Good point Linda.  I wish I could be more of an optimist...  Rested is good.

Congratulations Jan.....that time will go by very quickly!!

Keep busy....start journaling....take before pics...won't be long and you will be on the Losers Bench!

Glad you got your date. I waited a year to have surgery, so be happy it's just three months. Some surgeons have a longer waiting list. Your time will fly by ... just be patient.
