What's New - Monday 18 May 2009
Good morning,
We are home at last. Two weeks was a long time to be away. My cats have not left me alone for one minute.
Now it is time to get get back to my routine of supplements (for shame, I missed many doses) regular drinking and eating. The grands had so many daily activities, meal times were out of whack and therefore, so was my usual schedule. All well worth time spent with the family.

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, albeit a bit cool, but at least the sun was out.
Went to early church and Bible class, then had to pick up a few things at Wal Mart. Ate a lite lunch and got the house arranged for the piano recital.....all the students did great, and even the teacher played .....Autumn Leaves! The ice cream cake from Dairy Queen was the perfect refreshment, except I have nearly a half of it left....it's hidden away in the freezer in my garage.
So now that I'm officially retired from teaching, I am actually thinking of taking organ lessons.....it's something I've wanted to do and now I have time to do it......well, not that much time, but I'll fit it in.
Work today, bone density scan this afternoon -- the local hospital is doing them for $15, so I'm taking advantage of that.
Tomorrow I am picking up my bff and we're going out for lunch to celebrate our birthdays -- she was in Florida when I had mine and hers was last week.....better late than never.
Time to get on the exercise bike - going to try to get on it everyday this week and get back on track with my eating too.....have put on a few lbs. and they need to come off, plus some new ones. It's never too late, you know.....that tool still works if you are compliant.
Have a great Monday all...

Done! Your Ticker:
We rescue greyhounds. Two years ago in April, I went to NY for 5 days for the Mets home opener. I went by myself, as my brother paid. So Mary stayed with Flyte. When I got back, Mary picked me up. She said you go in the house first, the dog is going to attack you. He has been whining at the window for five days. Now, I always allow Flyte to jump up on me by putting his paws on my chest. I walk in and he went crazy. His tail was going a mile a minute. It hit a plant stand Mary has so hard that it cut the tip of the tail. Blood was all over the walls and his tail was still wagging. We had to put an icepack on it to stop the bleeding.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
