I have a doctor's appointment.  I also have to go pick up my text books for summer II.  Yep, teaching summer II.  I'm thinking today will be one of those days where I am going to run non-stop. But, the good news is that I will get a lot done.

Oh, JT won.  Yeah!  And tomorrow night, I get to see Adam sing his way to become the next American Idol and the next week, my so you think you can dance comes on.  I am a reality tv addict.

I'm into the TRASH reality TV- my daughter gets me hooked. We both love the Housewives shows- New York, Orange County and now the New Jersey group. We missed the Atlanta shows. Those women are very interesting. Sometimes it feels like you are watching a train wreck.

Diane, So happy to see you doing so well! Just a quick hello. I'm alive and well and loving my time in Salt Lake City. See my post to Sunday. I'm using the hotel computer and others are waiting so I'll come back later when I can post more. What a great time I've had here. Yesterday spent the day out and about. A much more diverse city than I anticipated. Library research has been phenomenal. Kate and Margo, this has been a lifelong (at least as an adult) dream and way up there on my Bucket List. I'll be back again. Gotta run. Library opens at 8am today.

Good morning to you, Diane and my other OFF sibs. It is nice to see you start us off this morning. You seem to be doing well since your recent surgery and that makes my heart happy. Keep up the great job!

Nothing much happening here today. Just going to wander around here and try to do a bit here and there. Nothing much since I am not going to pu**** like I did when I had my wls. I did way to much and later suffered for it. I learn my lesson....well......sometimes!

I have a meeting at church tonight and Pastor is picking me up so I don't have to drive. Bill thinks that is the best for tonight. He is afraid for me to drive at times....but mostly at night. I haven't drove at night since my surgery. So.....I am bumming a ride tonight and it bothers me in a way since I like being more independent and with riding with someone I am on their time table and not my own. I am sure you all understand what I am working at here.

It is sunny out and a typical spring day. I am not sure of the temperature since this Weather Channel thing doesn't work right....jeez that bugs me! I like to know the temperature and it puts it in the icon tray when it feels like it which is about 1 or 2 times a month. I think I am going to take it off my little 'puter. I feel cold but then I did all day yesterday too...so who knows if it the temperature or just me. I feel cold all the way to the bones. I can't stand that when that happens.

I guess I will get to movin' now. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers being said too. Have a wonderful Monday and remember to smile for everyone today. It brings happiness....if not to someone else it will to you.

OH! I forgot this happened. There was 2 separate shootings in Portage on Friday night and one got killed and the other one is not expected to live...in fact I am not sure if he is still alive or not. But....the one that got killed is a nephew of a friend of Bill's . I guess a woman went to his door and yelled for someone who no one knew who he was...Jeremy opened the door and there stood a man with a gun and the woman..everyone offered their money to him to go away and he shot Jeremy 2 times in the chest. He was only 27 years old. No one had any idea who he was...they are thinking he had the wrong apartment. It is a tragedy. The other shooting victim was shot by his own uncle. The uncle is in the Latin Kings gang. I know this because my bff's son booked him and it is tattooed on his stomach. I guess the nephew he shot is in another gang. He was hanging on by the skin of his teeth the last time I heard. Please keep Dan Higgins and his family in prayers if you pray and in good thoughts if that is your thing. It makes no difference to me which it is......they need anything positive at this time in their lives.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good morning Diane and everyone....

The weekend just flew by. I had fun but I could use another day off!

Kyleigh (granddaughter) was admitted to the hospital again last night. This time she lashed out at her sister...with a broom!! The police were called and an ambulance came and took her to the hospital. She is refusing to take her meds and went off the deep end again. We are praying they will admit her to the treatment facility before Friday. She can't come home for now.My heart is breaking for her..I love her so much.

I best get to work...lots of phone calls and appointments to set up today.

Have a happy day!!

Love and hugs....connie d

Hi Diane and my OFF family:

Good to see you again! I've been thinking about you. Glad you're feeling well and the revision has worked for you.

Not much going on here. No work today because it's my weekend yet. It's a bright sunny day, yet, I don't feel so sunny. Better than yesterday at least. I guess getting some sleep helps. It's going to be worse this week because I work next Sunday too (had to volunteer for that because I get double time and I really need the money). In June, when my pay gets cut, it will be nice to have a pay check with extra money.

Yeah, George, the Sox really stink. It's been depressing. Josh Hamilton's catch was awesome. I watched a lot of baseball yesterday. Napped a lot, too. Didn't do much else. Read a lot. I need to get into the second book of the three I'm reading for my book reviewer job. I'll probably do that this afternoon for awhile.

Have a good day.

Good Morning (just barely) to Everyone. . . .

. . . . and a happy Monday right back atcha, Diane!  I'm glad to hear that the recovery is going well for you.

I'm offering up a couple prayers for the shooting victim, Brenda, and also for your Granddaughter, Connie.

BTW, Pat, I have family in the Sturgis/Coldwater/Bronson area.  I'm heading out there to a family reunion next month.  It's a nice part of the state!

Beautiful and sunny here.  I have a tea party tonight with my first grader grandson, parents and all the grandparents will be there.  Right after the tea party is an "informance."  Never heard the word before, so I guess it will be interesting.

Speaking of addictions, my DIL got me hooked on Farm Town on Facebook.  I've never played any type of game, from Pacman to Donkey Kong, to Mafia Wars or Wii, so this is a learning experience for me.  I guess it's better that I focus my addiction on that rather than back on FOOD.  The thing is, I'm not getting any work done!

I am pushing myself away from the computer......here I go...I'm going....
