OT - News Report on Me

Well I haven't been on for a week because I have been away.
I usually babysit my grandbaby on Wed and Fri.  So as we were only going to be about 80 miles away we went last Sat. and went to our Stag and Doe on Sat and had a great time.
Tue we came back to ottawa and I went to my Beta Sigma Phi meeting and then Wed am we picked up my daughter (37 and challenged) and my grandbaby (17 months) and back up we went to Logos Land.
Was nervous as the baby had never been away from home more than overnight at our house.  Well it was wonderful - she loved being able to toddle around the parkland up there and go up and down the grassy hills (she fell going too fast down one and after that put out her hand for me to hold on the way down) and loved the beach area (although it was too cold to go in water) she pointed and watched the Canada geese and just had a wonderful time.  We visited some cousins in Pembroke and they just loved her and told us to come back anytime.
After I dropped her off to her dad (my son) and then daughter off at her apt. I came home and hubby and I had a 2 hour nap.  It was great but now I am exhausted!! 
Shows I am getting old.
Thanks for listening.  BTW I didn't lose anything for the last 2 weeks, just too many carbs I think.

I love taking my grands on trips but I get so wore out. ONe of the main problems that I have is that my granddaughter is only 18 months old, so I must carry her and hold the 4 year old's hand.  Also, I have trouble with the car seats and getting them in and out of those.  But, once we arrive at our destination, it is so worth it.  I'm glad you had a good time.

Well I'm glad to hear that you got away and had a goof time. Sometimes we need to get away and get that change of senery.

We had a great time and am also waiting for the second one in Sept.  Elizabeth will be 21 months then and that should make for quite a handful.  Agree about the worn out me tho.
