Jacki, you are a inspiration for sure! Enjoy your wonderful day. I remember when I could drop by my mom's house. She always sent me home with bags of food, her garage was always loaded up with food and paper goods. I think it had to do with growing up in a depression. I find myself doing that with my daughter,I never buy just one of anything. I call them care packages.
Take care,dear lady.

Good morning and glorious day,
Had some coffee yesterday morning then went out to garden before it got too hot. Made some eggs on whole wheat toast around 11AM. Started organizing my paper for the board meeting on Wednesday regarding retirement that is weighing on my mind. I bascally have to find a tactful way to say that the former chief is not correctly remembering events to cover her own butt.
Rested some with the TV, did a little more weed pulling and pruning when it cooled off. I kind of grazed all day food wise but nothing too bad. Had an artichoke/mayo, some deli turkey, a yogurt, some corn, a couple of SF popcicles and rented that movie Doubt with Meryl Streep as a very stern nun last night. Had trouble staying awake and went to bed early only to have high anxiety dreams about work.
Today is more of the same. Enjoy the day, CV Linda

Good morning to you, our sweet Linda. I am so glad to see your beautiful smiling face. It is always a pleasure in the mornings! You are a beautiful person on the inside as well as the outside. Just keep being you!
Food last night was pretty good. I did eat a bit more hummus than I had planned but boy do I love that stuff. And it is good protein so I felt bad but not as if it was really bad stuff...just bad stuff I guess. ha ha I did taste Baklava for the first time in my life. I did that because it wasn't dripping in honey. It was very dry and crispy. And need I say.....oh so good! I wanted to taste it for one time before I die....I guess kind of like my own bucket list thing! Well worth it too, without a doubt.
Food today is kind of questionable. I am not sure what is going on here. Our nephew and his family got a new puppy and he wants us to go see the dog.....and I am a sucker for dogs without a doubt. I know that will win. So I am not sure just how tired I am going to be when I get home. His kids really wear me down just being around them....they are so hyper! Bill may just take care of food today for a change. He is pretty good about that anyway. I got a prize when I got him....he may be an idiot at times but what man can't be? I have never met one. They all have their times.....as we all know.
B: slim fast low carb shake mixed with milk to thin it out
L: something frozen I am thinking
D: Bill's choice!!!!!!!!
S: probably nothing
I am sending you love and hugs and lots of prayers going up for you and yours. Have a wonderful day and smile.....it is going to bring happiness to someone and you never know who.

Hi Miss. Brenda,I am happy to hear you enjoyed your baklava, growing up in NYC,I have enjoyed ways to get fat from many cultures...grin!
I do hope the visit from family does not tire you too much,or make you nervous,I notice when I get nervous,I still have the inclination to soothe myself with food,l do not do it,but recognize it,thankfully.
I ran into some dark chocolate last night, enough said about that!
You are always so upbeat and kind.
I am so sorry men can not be as perfect as us...LOL.
Have a good one,and spread your love around, you have so much of it.
Hugs!

Linda,
I felt very blue yesterday for some reason. I had had big plans for all I was going to accomplish but none of it appealed to me, so I ended up reading a fluffy but entertaining novel most of the day. I feel much better today. I guess it's good to "unplug" and just vegetate every now and then.
B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: ham & sweet potato patty, sesame green beans
S: cheese
D: roast lamb, eggplant salad
S: SF pudding
