Tuesday already!!! WHAT'S NEW WITH YOU????
Elaine,
I feel for you!!!!! My fear is not a full blown phobia as you experience. Just a lot of screaming, yelling and hopping about. There are enough other problems to keep my psychiatrist busy though.
My sister has the phobia, very similar to yours. When my nephew was young, she bought him a set of encyclopedias. I had to go and remove the "S" volume, before she allowed the books into her home.

Elaine, I think I called you Kate the other day. Sorry, from your emaill addy I guess. Anyway, just have a minute. My SLC trip was absolutely phenomenal. My eyes are so dry I can hardly see. I know I will go back again but it will be a few years. Lots of info. Not on my Richard Clark, but I met a nice lady who lives there who got her "curiosity" up about him and has offered to help. I took Sunday off, saw the MTC taping, toured the gardens at the Temple Square, attending a craft and cultural diversity fair, walked, and walked. Beautiful weather in the 80's. Snow capped Wasatch Mountains surrounding the city. Oh, did I say I had a wonderful time?

Oh mY I am having such fun reading the baseball and snake stories. HEY MARGO.. two of my work mates just got back from Panama, they had a wonderful time, one of the gals said they took a coffee tour and it was the highlight of their trip. She also talked about the great food, high brow restaurants with them both eating for under $20.. Always being thirsty because they has to buy their water..anyway can't wait to hear your take on it all your not even gone yet and I already miss ya..
I get to pick up Hunter after work. Other grandma watches him, her husband went into the hospital last night. I feel bad, he is very ill.. throat cancer..and here I am excited about getting the baby.
Also getting excited about taking grandkids camping for a few days next month. I rent a cabin in a nature preserve, it is so peaceful. Guess I had better get to work, my boss is going to Florida for a few days, so the rest of the week I will be here alone.. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

One of the gals, Liz, is from Panama, went back for her brothers wedding. The other went vacationing with her intended, then met up with Liz for the wedding.

Hi George and my OFF family:
Wow, George, that is so great, having Nolan Ryan say hi to you. Cool! I once met Tommy John in Minnesota (for the non-baseball fans among us, Tommy John was a pitcher for the White Sox/LA Dodgers and had the famous elbow surgery that is now known as Tommy John surgery ... it revitalized his career). Anyway, we were involved on this Minnesota area awards committee together. I was there because the committee also picked some athletes from the Dakotas and, at the time, I was a sports writer in South Dakota. So I was pushing a couple of our athletes (and they did get honored, too). So at the final committee meeting, Tommy John was there and after we picked the athletes and had lunch, I got to talk to Tommy John. I had to tell him a funny story about a photo I took of him when I was a kid and saw him at old Comiskey Park. I was just 14 or 15 at the time and had this little Instamatic camera. Anyway, the photo cut off his head ... the funny thing was, his shadow was headless, too. Tommy John had a good chuckle at that. If I had known he was going to be at the meeting, I would have brought the photo.
It's getting really depressing watching the Sox ... they finally get a good pitching performance and then they don't hit. We make these rookie pitcher look like Cy Young.
I had an appointment with my psychologist this morning. Nice to talk to someone about my problems who doesn't judge me. I can really pour out my heart to her. Had a lot on my mind the last few days. She also gave me some things to think about, which she usually does.
The big news from yesterday in the paper was our executive editor is retiring. I guess it wasn't too surprising, because a lot of the other exec editors also left from the other papers in the chain. He's 63, just remarried (his wife died in an accident a few years ago), so we all kind of figured it was going to happen. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with what's going on in the business, too. It's so depressing being down there. It's just not a lot of fun anymore.
Well, back to work today. Have a good day.

It is really strange, everyones reaction to Nolan vs my reaction. Everyone is wow, that is great. Me, when he did it, I sort of expected it. Really. He is such a class guy. In January Mary and I went to a team luncheon, and sat within 10 feet of Ryan. We got his autograph. It was like he believes "Why would you want my autograph?" He is such a down to earth guy. It is evident at the Ranger games. Tom Hicks, the owner, sat in a luxury box 90% of the time. Nolan is sitting down next to the dugout EVERY GAME. He wants to be with the fans.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
